Pours a hazy amber color with a two finger white head. Does leave some lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is pine and hops. Taste is bitter very hoppy. This is a great balanced beer. jjuf1853 (482), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 3, 2008 Bottle pours a clear copper/amber color with a thick, foamy beige head. Good lacing around the glass. Tons of citrus hops in the aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet at first but the bitterness and hops kick in shortly thereafter. Nice play between the malts and hops. I bought a mixed 12 pack last year and I remember not being very impressed by its predecessor, but I quite enjoy this one. Well done Flying Dog! jason (1627), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

Not only did they up the ABV from 5.75 to 7.1%, but the mouthfeel, the balance, the overall taste is definitely improved. BMan1113VR (2980), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA

Pours with a large foamy off-white head covering a clear amber body. Aroma of floral and slightly spicey hops, some pear and sticky sweet malts. Herbal and a touch of orange...very pungent. Taste is malty, watery, slightly salty, and not very bitter at any point. Slightly fizzy, fullish mouthfeel. Bragesnak (2361), Aarhus, Denmark

Flavor is balanced then goes to grapefruit with the expected lingering bitter finish of an IPA. $1.67 for a 12oz bottle from Capital Convenience Concord, NH.
