I have been going through this breweries offerings and picked up their ipa to close my weekend ...poured a nice golden copper with a two finger off white head that stuck around for a few with lacing that just stuck to the glass all the way ...a lot of citrus and pine on the nose with a hint of pineapple ...taste is the same with the Columbus hops and dare I say some cascades coming through in the beginning, I also get a nice malt backbone its faint but its there this ipa also seems to coat the mouth with a kinda oily bitterness on the finish which is to be expected with the style although I’ve had some ipa’s with a cleaner finish all in all this is a great ipa may not end up your favorite but worth trying without a doubt, I’ll have this one again kudos to you flying dog ...cheers

From bottle at a bar, in a shaker. Dark amber colour, with a big and beautiful head. Not much carbonation visible. Aroma is orange, citrus, hops and a little vanilla/caramel. Taste is sweet malts up front, grapes, pines, dry citrus/orange peel taste. Long, dry hop finish, just the way I like it. Excellent and very drinkable IPA. Alcohol is very well hidden.

Drunk 18/08/14 with cam at his new flat. got it from paradise market on the way over. smells of orange, citrus, pine. taste is lemon, orange tangerine, with the hops at the front. mellows out into a caramel malty finish. its sweeter than i expected, really balanced for an ipa tho. not too heavy with the bitter which was a treattttttt

Poured from a bottle. Not crazy about the cloudy, depressing orange color; not much head but hopeful lacing. Grapefruit aroma, but surprisingly original taste. First thing I notice is how smooth and creamy it is. Citrus and maybe cheese flavors. Paired well with Chinese food.

330ml bottle. Clear golden color. Medium size, beige head, stays. Bready, dusty, sweet, faint herbal, malty notes in aroma. Malty, sourish, grainy taste. Messy. Messy. Actually the fck is that?

Alengrin (975) - BELGIUM - AUG 13, 2014
’Colorado style IPA’ with a playful label, brewed with Warrior and Columbus hops and dry-hopped with the latter. Off-white, stable, sticky head leaving pretty lacing, orange blonde colour approaching amber, clear. Aroma of cheesy hops, grapefruit peel, soap, mango, peach, caramel, something sweaty as well. Restrained, dried fruitiness in the taste, spicy notes, nutty and caramelly malts, resinous hop finish, pine needles, complex, citrus peel dryness, long. Very good IPA.

Malty aroma with hop hints. Clear amber gold colour with excellent head. Malt up front bitter through the middle with ok finish. Medium to heavy body with medium carbonation.

Bottled. Overall a great IPA, more malty in aroma and taste and less hoppy. The minor herbal hops is detectable in the aroma, the bitter hops in the taste finish. There is also some nice bitter sweet malt taste in the back. A very tasty bitter IPA.

Great amber transparent color with enough head. The aroma is pure IPA, hops. The taste too with lots of bitterness as well as on the aftertaste. A good one!

Hazy amber color with white medium lasting head. Aroma of fresh hops, sweet malts and tropical fruits. Tropical fruits are also present on the taste, together with citrus, hops ans sweet malts. Bitter aftertaste, dry finish.
