More cunning than a snake in the bush...Snake Dog India Pale Ale is a Colorado-style IPA, power hopped with specialty hops from the Pacific Northwest. This is the brewery’s hop monster, and the citrus fruit aroma will hypnotize the senses of the most hardcore of craft drinkers. 15 Plato, 60 IBU, Crystal Malt, Warrior and Columbus hops, and dry hopped with Columbus.

Draft - This brewery has really come a long way over the past several years. This is a nice malty ipa with good spicy hop character.

Bottle. I don’t mind this. Refreshing good percentage IPA. Ok maybe not a stunner but all the flavours you’d expect and a good balanced finish. Very quaffable and easily available.

Amber-copper color, white head, not very big but lasting. Malty, caramel flavor, little citrus and floral. Medium body, subtle bitterness for an IPA, alcohol is detectable somewhere. More on the malty style borders.

Pours orangey golden with good beige head and very clear. Aroma of light citrus and slightly metallic. Medium carbonation and fairly light mouth feel. Taste is slightly orange and grapefruit with malty bread and cereal. Medium bitterness. Doesn’t taste like 7.1% but doesn’t taste much like an IPA either. Much more malt-forward than hoppy.

On tap at DC Craft Brews - IAD. Clear deep gold under a lingering 1 finger off white head leaving a lot of tight lace. Nose is light toffee and bread with citrus and floral hops along with some pine resin. Flavourful is a bit more subdued than the nose with light sweet support for a medium- bitterness. Medium slick mouth with average carbonation.

Bottle. Been looking forward to this one, but I think its to old... Not much hop aroma or taste. Very boring and its nothing like the other raters wrote, so its proboably just to old. Alcoholic taste.. I will try to get another one and re-rate it. BB-date is 15.06.15 so its 2 months from today.

Bottle of 33cl, in a witbier glass, from the fridge. Nice IPA... but regular taste. Nothing more to say about it.
