More cunning than a snake in the bush...Snake Dog India Pale Ale is a Colorado-style IPA, power hopped with specialty hops from the Pacific Northwest. This is the brewery’s hop monster, and the citrus fruit aroma will hypnotize the senses of the most hardcore of craft drinkers. 15 Plato, 60 IBU, Crystal Malt, Warrior and Columbus hops, and dry hopped with Columbus.

Tasted during outage: A crisp, easily downed IPA, powers a power head that settles with a lacy ring, crisp citrusy hop aromas with some mild sweetness thrown in, bittery crispness on the tongue followed by sweet spiciness on the finish, another easy drinking IPA despite the alchohol as its well hidden.

Poured from a 12oz bottle - no bottling date Aroma - Orangey, not too much tropical aroma.... Appearance - Clear golden color - half finger of thin head that dissipated rather quickly. Taste - Missing any sort of tropical taste - n

Pours copper color with a large thick white head. Mild pine citrus hops up front with a lingering soft pine finish. A " soft" pine hoppy taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Transfer from BA review on 2-23-23- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The beer is served an golden-amber color with a small white head. The head has a moderate level of retention, eventually fading to leave a lighter level of lacing. Smell – The aroma is very light overall. It consists largely of a mix of sweeter and hoppier citrus; notes of tangerine are mixed with some bitter grapefruit. Along with these is an ever so light caramel smell. Taste –The taste begins sweeter and maltier up front, with flavors of a bready nature and lighter fruits (apple and tangerine). Up front there isn’t too much hop other than a very light citrus hop. As the taste advances further it stays relatively malty and sweet with some caramel and more fruit coming to the tongue. More hop flavors come to the tongue as well however, balancing the sweet. These hop flavors are mainly of a grapefruit citrus nature but also contain notes of an earthy and pine nature. The earthy and grapefruit get stronger toward the end of the taste, but never become too strong. In the end a sweeter and lightly bitter (largely grapefruit) flavor is left to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner side for a 7.1% abv brew with a carbonation level that is rather average. The thinner body and carbonation make it quite easy to drink, although a little more thickness of body would likely have been nicer for the hoppier flavors of the brew. Overall –A decent and fairly easy drinking IPA. It’s a little on the sweeter side and a little low on the hoppiness, but for the most part fairly balanced.

Bottle 35.5cl. Hazy pale amber color, one finger fluffy white head, fair retention and lacing; aroma of citrus fruits, floral and citrus hops, hint of pine; taste full bitter, almost no sweetness, citrus; medium body, oily texture, average carbonation; long and rather smooth dry hoppy finish. Not bad at all but expected more...

From bottle at a bar, in a shaker. Dark amber colour, with a big and beautiful head. Not much carbonation visible. Aroma is orange, citrus, hops and a little vanilla/caramel. Taste is sweet malts up front, grapes, pines, dry citrus/orange peel taste. Long, dry hop finish, just the way I like it. Excellent and very drinkable IPA. Alcohol is very well hidden.

Drunk 18/08/14 with cam at his new flat. got it from paradise market on the way over. smells of orange, citrus, pine. taste is lemon, orange tangerine, with the hops at the front. mellows out into a caramel malty finish. its sweeter than i expected, really balanced for an ipa tho. not too heavy with the bitter which was a treattttttt

Poured from a bottle. Not crazy about the cloudy, depressing orange color; not much head but hopeful lacing. Grapefruit aroma, but surprisingly original taste. First thing I notice is how smooth and creamy it is. Citrus and maybe cheese flavors. Paired well with Chinese food.
