COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Snake Dog is a traditional IPA, brewed with imported English Maris Otter pale malt and Golding Hops. Dry hopped with Chinook and Golding hops, contributes to the fruity-floral hop aroma characteristics of this IPA.

I decent IPA in the traditional English style, but Sammy Smith’s is miles ahead. Earthy hop aroma and flavors as you would expect from an English style IPA, but nothing much else to offer. Decent, but I probably wouldn’t buy it again.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2006 Bottle: Hazy orange with a thin white head, big biscuit aroma with some light pine, light body with prickly carbonation ends with a bitter taste.

Better than average IPA, lots of hops and a hearty malty body. Pretty enjoyable beer. Nothing wrong, nothing particularly exceptional but that’s good.

Definitely very hoppy but it lacks the enjoyable smooth malt that great IPAs contain.

Great IPA, but very strong, so beware. Nice movement, even after it sits for a while.

Not an IPA you would drink one after another - but what a good hoppy strong sipper!!! Found it at DIA, and could really appreciate the hoppiness and unique aftertaste of this beer.

This is a decent IPA. Needs more alcohol for the style imho. The hops are decent but not strong enough for the style imho. But over all a well crafted, enjoyable beer. Just not a great IPA. (At least not for a hop head.)

Respectable but not overly-impressive IPA. Enjoyable, just didn’t quite carry enough character or hops. Worth a try at least for IPA fans but don’t rush out and buy it.

The first one is a little strong, but it gets smoother as you have another
