Scauca (196), Lovere, Italy Mar 14, 2008 Nice clear amber with a decent head. The aroma is very strong and clean, very golding in character, fruity and floral, with a subtle maltiness. Bit rough MF yet very drinkable due to a relatively weak body and a good balancing despite tons of hops’ resins.
dirkbreedveld (222), Netherlands Jun 27, 2008 Really impressed by this IPA. Nice golden amberish colour. Strong nose of fresh hopps. First taste is malty and sweetish, after that the taste develops into nice bitters of hopps. Long aftertaste, dry mouth feel. Rune (1493), Tromsø, Norway Jun 24, 2008 My choice for this year’s beer on Midsummer Eve. 355ml bottle bought at Utobeer. BB:1/7-08, IBU:36 and ABV:6.4%. (Almost) clear, golden brown body topped by an off-white head with good retention and with really nice laceworks on the glass. Plain hoppy aroma. The first sip gives a tangy taste of hops with orange peels added a spicy touch. And the flavour continues like that until a notably bitter ending. Nice and lingering palate (23.06.2008). Beer_2000 (1114), Kristiansand, Norway Jun 10, 2008 355 ml bottle. Clear, golden orange body with a dense off-white head. Sweet and heavy hoppy/citrus + hay aroma. Flavor has a sharp, prompt bitterness, giving a dry feeling even realizing this is a quite sweet beer. Balanced but not much malt flavor here. AndrewKScott (215), Lemont, Illinois, USA May 31, 2008 I had the old version a while ago. I remember it to be rather unremarkable, I remember thinking: are they sure this is an IPA? Overall, I’d say I thought it was average. HenrikSoegaard (2865), Randers, Denmark May 30, 2008 Bottle. I am a little confused. Is this the new or old version. it is 4.7 ABV and 36 IBU so none of the desciption on ratebeer matches. BB 03.08.
Creamy white excellent mostly lasting head. Orange-yellow colour. Light malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Flowers and herbs present. Harsh bitter flavor. Long harsh bitter finish. Creamy palate. Not my style but nice.
