Draft with Dallas at Pony bar. Pours a thick hazy red body with thin white lacing. Aroma is sour cherry and light malt. Mouthfeel is more pleasant than the aroma leads you to believe - notes of sour cherry, light wood, grain, and malts.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Elwood (2493) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - JUL 13, 2012
Serving: Draft at Fireworks. Hazy reddish pour with very poor head retention. Light malt and cherries in the nose. A touch of grain on the tongue with some sour cherries, a little maltiness and that’s about it. Spritzy and fruity. Clean and short finish. Lacks the depth and character that prime examples have.

Granville Moore’s, DC tap ($7): Pours a small white head over a red body. Aroma is light cherries. Taste is very light. There is some amount of cherry in there along with a very light sour malt backbone. This was a very light ale, but nothing was at all offensive. I was a bit disappointed, but this was by no means bad.

On tap at Rattle N Hum prior to going to The Gate for a Carton event. Pours a hazed brown amber with a thin to medium sized white head. Cherry on the nose, medicinal, smells of cough drops. Medium bodied, sweet, cherry cough syrup. Malt, odd acid, grain. Dries out and gets a bit grainy. Lots of tart acid, drinks pretty well in spite of the shortcomings. Grainy cherries on the finish.

Draft at Craft. Poured dark straw with off-pinkish head. Nose was earthy and tart cherry. Tasted or earthy lactic tart cherry, with a bit more emerging sweetness as it warmed, and a rich palate. This one was much better than I had hoped.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 GT2 (5659) - Riverslime, California, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Tap at Jack Rose thanks to Naheem. Cloudy orange to red pour with small white foam. Nose is sour Shorts style PB&J with odd acid and grape jam. Taste has an odd mix of acids. Small butyric, light lactic, light citric. Overall yogurty lactic. I'm enjoying this. Mild metallic flavors clean up. Decently successful for the Berliner Weisse category. Nose needs help. Served in a weizen glass. Okay.. Refreshing at the very least.
