3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a large bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a rusted copper-brown color with a good-sized, foamy off-white head that had good retention, lacing and cling. Its aroma featured fruits, particularly cherry and some light raisin, with a nice caramel mix, along with some earthy and grainy hops. It had a sweet cherry and fruity flavor, with a lighter mix of caramel, and a somewhat bitter and sour grainy finish. The beer had a fairly wet body with a slight creamy, watery mouthfeel, and average fizz and life.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
75cl from Appellation Wines. Pours a cloudy dark brown with a decent head which does disappear quite quickly. The nose has Jamaica cake and demerara sugar. The taste has spicey ginger and this leads into ginger biscuits then a creamy finish. The palate has a really rich texture with a long persistent finish. Overall a really good beer which Iíd describe as an Imperial Bitter.
