Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, sour malt, dark fruit, moderate yeasty, phenol, alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, sour malt - fruit, dark berry, yeasty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.

Tasting at ChrisOs. Light haze on this amber beer, little pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and smooth. Sweetish creamy malt with mild lactose. A little aniseed and caramel. Sweetish generic fruits with intense dried fruits, cherry most noticeable. Whisper of spice and estery banana. Soft yeasty finish.

Bottle courtesy of Tommy from Flying Dog, thank you sir! Hazy brown color, smsll tan edge head. Aroma of slightly boozy plums, prunes, raisins, caramel. Taste is bittersweet figs and raisins, with some Christmas fruitcake on the side. Very nice!

Bottle at the ChrisO Flags of Many Nations Easter Tasting - London. Thanks to Jan for bringing this one. Pours cloudy red-brown with a fine, white cream head. Semi-dark malt nose with rich bread, yeast, candi sugar and some ripe fruits. Big sweet flavor, lightly alcoholic, with moderate ripe and dry fruits, yeasty bread. Full bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming finish with mildly toasted bread, yeast, some dough, toasty sugars and berries. Good stuff.

Dark amber pour with a khaki head. Nose is sweet sugar, dark fruits, molasses, banana, and a hint of chocolate. A bit more roasty tab expected. Some licorice, too. Sweet licorice and sugar flavors, molasses, some dark fruit, and a decent amount of chocolate. A fair bit of roasted malt, light spice, and banana.

Draft. Medium beige head atop murky copper body. Aroma is moderately sweet, spicy, cherry, some caramel, faint cherry liqueuer. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, orange, cherry, some spicy. Medium body, some stickiness.

Lightly hazed chestnut brown with a thin beige head that clears to a film.
Nose carries yeast, touch of booze, toffee, dark fruit, dates.
Taste comprises brown sugars, toffee, yeast, booze, dark fruit.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, sweet in the finale.
Ok stuff - the alcohol is pretty well integrated.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium, frothy light tan head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is cookie and spiced bread malt with raisins, dates, and figs, and a medium alcohol presence. Flavor is malt dominant with caramelized Belgian candi sugar, dark dried fruits, light hops and bitterness with a dry finish and alcohol warmth. Full body and medium carbonation.

Draft at Beer Run. Pours a hazy copper color with a thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of brown sugar, stone fruits, chestnuts, faint herbal notes. The taste is bronze sugar, toffee, cherries, stone fruits, booze, lightly tart finish. Medium bodied.
