COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s a Maryland collaboration for the ages with Flying Dog Brewery and The Brewer’s Art coming together to create Table for Two — a Belgian-style Table Beer brewed with wildflower honey. Table for Two’s sweet honey aroma and flavor complements its complex biscuit malt tones and spicy, fruity yeast notes. At 5% ABV, its clean, dry finish lends itself to (dare we say) ultimate quaff-ability for our hot and humid East Coast summers. This Flying Dog and The Brewer’s Art and collaboration will be available at The Brewer’s Art and in select mid-Atlantic retailers beginning in July. Hops: Brewers Gold, Styrian Goldings Specialty Malts: French Pilsner, Cara-Vienna, Rye, Biscuit Format: 6-packs

Poured a hazy orange amber with a nice off-white foamy head that reduced to just a film quickly. There was a good floral aroma with some citrus notes and some bisquit notes. The beer has very good carbonation. It is slightly dry and crisp initially and very refreshing. There is a mild flavor of apricots and a light bit of tartness. Very good hot summer day thurst quencher.

12oz bottle pours a light orange with a very frothy, white head. Aroma is nice, inviting, sweet, lightly yeasty, floral, a little spice, some candy sugar, a touch of citrus. The nose actually has little hints of everything. Flavor is sweet, light candy, a little honey, a little candy sugar, some light clove, some light coriander, a little bubble gum, some light citrus. Medium bodied, dry finish. This is really good. It’s far from simple, but at the same time, no one flavor over powers the beer. Well balanced, easy to drink.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2011 Tap at Churchkey. A clear light orange pour is a small, white, creme head. Nose is sweet, grainy, husky. Taste is raw, grainy, full-bodied, buttery biscuit, cornbread. Mild smokiness comes through. Reminds me a little bit of Victory Summer Love but not nearly as sharp, crisp, or doughy. This one gets a lot of that Brewer’s Art raw grain, butter, and earthy huskiness that really works for some beer styles and not so much in others. I think Belgian Ale is not one of the styles where these characters are appreciated. 7/11/2011 6/4/7/4/13=3.4

355mL thanks to tastybeer. A lightly hazy golden yellow pour is a larger, off-white, lively head. Pillowy retention and webby lace. Phenolic, Belgian tripel like nose with flowers, orange, sugar, and heavy must with overtones of margarine. Taste is very soapy and bland with mild orange zest and citrus soap. Not a big fan. 7/26/2011 7/4/6/3/12=3.3

Bottle from SL. Pour is orange-golden with slight haze but certainly not cloudy and yeasty looking, small fine carbonation bubbles steadily rising, small thin head thins to about nothing, lacing weak. The aroma was sweet biscuity malts, grassy hops, yeasty. The flavor followed, some fruity esters coming out in the flavor, malt and hops pretty balanced, finishing with a phenolic spicing. Pils malts in the after taste. Mouthfeel is full for the style, somewhat dry but with some maltiness, not a bad brew, especially for FD!

Sweet bready malt profile, lots of fruity flavors and yeastiness. Sweet, but not quite sticky. Moderate spiciness. Tastes like a genuine belgian effort. Good one.

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours a clear golden honey color with a white head. Aromas of honey and fruit Belgian yeast. Taste is fruity with a hoppy finish, not overly sweet from the honey. Palate is on the lighter side and it is very drinkable with a nice dry and crisp finish. Overall, a very drinkable beer from a couple of great brewers. Nice collaboration brew.
