Full Disclosure: This beer came to fruition because we saw a gap in our portfolio and we wanted to increase our market share. Sometimes the truth hurts. But most often, it’s damn refreshing. The Truth Imperial IPA--the latest addition to our year-round portfolio-is a hop bomb of some of the most distinct Pacific Northwest hops available today. Its sharp hop bitterness begins with huge pine notes on the nose, which evolve into bright citrus (think grapefruit) and subtle stone fruit flavors.

pale copper, thin foamy head...dusty aroma, flavors of burnt caramel, alcohol, moderate bitter long finish, no discernible malt (a plus in my book)... definitely drinkable but not a lot going on-- no real citrus or pine, etc..

Thin offwhite head of fine bubbles. Aroma of pine sap, sweet malts, a hint of pineapple and cereal grains. Color is a nice medium orange. Sharp bitterness overlays some ripe citrus fruit, more pine, toasted grains and grapefruit pith. Moderate alcohol presence that gives a nice little tingle in the mouth. Finishes moderately bitter and dry. A pretty good IIPA.

Bottle 0,33l from Pivoljub beer shop in Ljubljana. Clear golden liquid with average white head. Sweet smell, not very pleasant fruity smell. Medium body, light carbonation. Medium sweet taste, herbs, fruits, weird taste of old wet herbs.

Clear golden color, average sized staying head. Aroma of malt, candy, yeah... Hops are probably all gone. Peaches, some herbs notes and light alcohol. Taste is malty, some fruitiness, lots of sweetness, empty bitterness in the end. Shit, I need to try it again, fresh.

Pours a hazy golden amber color, topped with a medium sized frothy off-white head. Decent retention. Swet fruity notes, pineapple, peach and some resin. Malty backbone. Malty start, sweet and lsightly fruity. Solid bitterness. Alcohol a bit noticeable. Not bad.

DIPA cítrica, afrutada sin excesos, con esas notas a pomelo y cáscara de naranja tan de la casa y el punto ácido del trigo que se combina con el amargor resinoso del final.

An orange beer, a head is quite big and light beige. Aroma has tropical fruitness, pineapple, grapefruits, mandarin, some caramel. Taste ha pine forest, topical fruitness, grapefruits. The bitterness is quite strong but it’s balanced by powerful and caramelly maltyness. Medium+ bodied, medium carbonation that’s lightning the palate. Tasteful beer, the balance is good.
