| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Aug 14, 2008 Another underwhelming brew from Flying Dog. Unrecognizable as a Kolsch, full of stale malts. Almost tastes like a gluten-free beer. Total drain pour. Flying dog needs to stick to the big beers. leaparsons (4700), Leicester, Leicestershire, England

Aromas are soft cream and vanilla with biscuit malts and tea. Floral with light citrus. Flavours are dry grapefruit with wheat. Some tea with earthy hops. Drinkable but dull. waolsen (1222), Littleton, Colorado, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 6, 2008 Poored a clear medium yellow color with a floralish sweet aroma. The taste was hoppy but not in the since of an IPA but rather a more mellow hop that gives a sweeter less dry taste. Very smooth with little aftertaste that would work well to wet the mouth after a salty or dry meal.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 5, 2008 Poured hazy straw color with small head. Aroma slightly hoppy and also alittle skunky. Taste is grainy and sweet. Not a bad brew but not great either. Just a very basic beer. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 3, 2008 bottle. color is quite golden with a thin bright white head looks like macro crap really. aroma is slightly sweet with a tinge of soapy hops on the back. flavor is of sweeter malts with some caramel mid palate. hops cut through midway to hasten a clean finish leaving just a little sweetness behind on the tongue. easy to drink but not much going on here.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Updated: Aug 4, 2008Bottle. Doesn’t say Kolsch but FD won a GABF medal in that category years ago. Very slightly hazed yellow/gold with no head retention. Low aroma. Grainy malt and herbal hops. A tad musty, maybe? Dry; not bitter. Decent warm-weather brew when chilled. hughie (3048), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Aug 1, 2008 Gold. Sweet malt aroma with some nettly hop. Taste is mainly citric, then mid bitterness with a bit of yeast. Not the best Flying Dog, but quite acceptable.
