scooterbub (332), Lander, Wyoming, USA Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden color with a decent white head. Taste is of hops, malts and it is slightly bitter. The aroma is close to the taste. Fairly easy to drink as it smooth and rather tasty. Overall, this is a good beer, that is worth a try, but I don’t think I would buy it again as it failed to leave a lasting impression. Also the label is fairly crazy and eye catching. subcell (95), Portsmouth, Virginia, USA Jun 28, 2008
marcus (1826), Sacramento, California, USA Jun 27, 2008 This light yellow beer poured with a thin white head. I’m not sure how this beer won any awards, since it is a modiocre example of kolsch. The flavor is crisp with some lemon and a chalky slightly bitter finish. thejoeshow (232), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Jun 25, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear very pale yellow color with a slight white head that settles into a small ring right away. Slight aroma very reminiscent of most major lager beers (DMS/cooked corn) with a slight earthy note to it. Very light crisp taste with malty sweetness up front and a tiny little hint of lemon at the end. Very easy to drink and very refreshing on a hot day. ericandersnavy (1039), crossroads, Texas, USA Jun 23, 2008 bottle thanks to swalden 28. poured a clear yellow with a thin white head. aroma of mild citrus with flavor being much the same. slight bitterness. my thoughts on this one are eehh.... gringo332 (236), Richardson, Texas, USA Jun 17, 2008 Can’t say I’m a fan of this one. Light yellow and light bodied. Very faint aroma and only a slightly stronger flavor of grassy wheat and some mild hops. Not bad really, but nothing really good to recommend it either. popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA Jun 14, 2008 Pour from the bottle into a pint glass. Initial pour produced a golden body with a quickly diminishing head of white foam. Moderate hopping with a sharp nose. The sharpness continues into its flavor with a bitterness which quickly diminished to a light aftertaste of hops, with quite a bit of dryness. Not the best ale that I have had, though not terribly offensive. jmw141 (134), Canton, Illinois, USA Jun 14, 2008 Bottle to glass. My first Kolsch-esque beer. Pours clear medium-yellow with a white head that lasts for a short bit. Moderate malt aroma and a mediumhop aroma (spicy, herbal) mixed with some pepper and medicine. It get s a "5" for being unique to me with how herbal it is, but nothing else stands out. The herbalness goes away as it warms and it becomes just bland. Time to try an authentic Kolsch.
