Flying Dog Tire Bite Golden Ale

The appearance lives up to its name: clear and golden. Tons of carbonation. Big, puffy Italian ice head. Color is light but good; the head is fine. The aroma is lagery, with that slight pilsnerish hop. It’s all-malt (I think) so there isn’t that corn aroma, which is a relief. Slight crisp lime/citrus smell. The taste is lagery malt, with a little bit of German bitterness. Has almost a lemonade quality to it, with an unexpected citrusy hop. Well balanced! The feel is crisp and fresh, but also smooth. Works well with style. More of an ale-feel than a lager feel. I like it; crisp and bittersweet and refreshing. Nicely balanced and good for spring.

Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is light with some pale malt and a tiny bit of hop coming through. Flavor is light easy drinking, grassy, bready pale malt.

On Tap at the Blake Street Tavern, Denver 13/10/2008 Carbonation. Some hop aroma. Golden coloured and smooth on the palate with a little dryness and bitterness in a crisp malt finish.

bottle. Slightly hazy gold-yellow color with a small white head that quickly disappears. Corny, grassy aroma. Malty initial taste with a faint bitter finish. Drinkable on a hot summer day but nothing real special about it.

Somewhat flat flavor but is generally drinkable. I have to agree with another poster about the aroma that it smells like "dirty socks and cereal".

12oz into a pint glass. Smooth and typical for easy drinking during the summer.

355ml bottle most green, at an albert heijnXL in zaandam, grassy and grainy, some citrus like orange and grapefruits, nice one.
