dkachur (2316), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA May 3, 2008 Bottle from a sampler. Pours golden (surprise!), crystal clear with a quickly dissipating medium sized head. Aroma of skunk, grass and a nondescript sweetness. Taste is grainy and bitter, with that same sweetness creeping in the background. Decent. GMUcrew7 (353), Mason, Ohio, USA May 2, 2008 Pours nice golden color with white head that dissipates quickly. Flavor is pretty good, a nice balance of the malts and hops. Nice crisp palate, not great, but overall a pretty decent, refreshing beer for what it is. SirSlarty (68), Reading, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 30, 2008 Dirty golden yellow in color. Smells slightly sweet and light. Good mouthfeel. Seems more like a lager. Very interesting. JohnnyOS (646), Golden, Wisconsin, USA Apr 27, 2008 Pours golden yellow with thick white head. Aroma is grainy and hoppy with a nice hop bitterness. MacAnUltaigh (45), Tampa, Florida, USA Apr 26, 2008 Aroma is mild, balancing between the hops and buttery maltiness. Nice hazy gold color with a frothy white head & fair lacing. I even saw some tiny particles in there. Lively carbonation from this bottle. Flavor is sweet grain finishing to gentle hop bitterness, leaving traces of chalk in the back corners of the mouth. Overall solid clean brew. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Apr 24, 2008 pours a pleasently vibrant golden colour with a generous white head. a little undercarbonated in my opinion. Light fruit character, grainy midpalate. Yet very smooth and clean. Refreshing brew if nothing else. FatguyRacer (129), Crownsville, Maryland, USA Apr 23, 2008 Bottle. Came in a variety pack of other Flying Dog brews. Pours golden yellow with a small white head that disapeared quickly. Not a very overwheming aroma, but not skunky like others have mentioned. Flavor is very hoppy and I couldnt taste very much of the malt. A nice crisp dry finish. Not a bad beer, but not a great one either. Neat label. MtStateBeer (74), Hurricane, West Virginia, USA Apr 20, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours golden/yellow. Yeast and grapefruit in the aroma, a bit of skunk. Flavor was sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Finished smooth and light. Decent beer...
