Has a mildly sweet grain taste with barely a hint of spicy hops. A good alternate for the macro lagar. 012806 Naven (869), Poway, California, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 5, 2008 Medium head with a cloudy light yellow beer. Smells a bit flowery. Drinks like a light lager. Not a lot more to say about it. Maverick34 (695), New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 4, 2008 Bottled.I didn’t find this as awful as some of the other raters did. I was surprised that it was a kolsch though, it certainly doesn’t taste much like a Reissdorf or a Gaffel - more like a watery Duvel? IlanMan (817), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Feb 3, 2008 This tasted like a better quality bud light. This tastes like the beer that Flying Dog made to try and convert bud/miller light drinkers to drink their beer. Not bad but definitely not good. I’ll only say that it was good quality for the ingredients added which tasted like mostly corn sugar with light malt. Won’t buy again but would recommend to mild beer drinkers over other light beers because Anheuser -Busch beers taste like anus. NachlamSie (1637), Tennessee, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear and light gold with a soapy head. Lots of barley in the nose with some corn and papery hops. Flavor is heavily doughy. Wow, the finish really brings the dough character full circle. Think uncooked wheat rolls. Some pretty nice wood flavor comes through, maybe a tart citrus note. You know, this is pretty thin and uneventful, just not up my alley. However,it is pretty clean. I don’t get much off flavor on this one. It’s a decent ale for someone who might usually reach for a light lager. beerheart (237), Erie, Colorado, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Very golden with light bubbles rising in straight lines to form a thin white ring. Nice aroma of honey and summer grasses. Thin and watery. Slight hint of citrus fruit, maybe lemon. A little bit of grass. Some toasted hops. This would be pleasing in the summer. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 2, 2008 June 2006 - Snore. Pour looked like a macro adjunct lager and didn’t taste all that different. Slightly fruity/citrusy flavor. I haven’t had many Kolsch’s, but if they all taste like this, I’ll pass in the future. Snore.
