Nephilium (541), Ohio, USA Sep 16, 2007 Slightly sweet aroma, not much there. Pours a clear pale golden color, with minimal white head. Slightly sweet taste, with a touch of grassy hops. Very light mouthfeel, a touch of bitterness remains for a brief time. Not a horrible beer, but not something I’m going after again. fakepurseninja (772), Washington, USA Sep 13, 2007 Goddammit what is wrong this this brewery. This beer reminds me of another piss-yellow swill from Colordo. I am a little Extra-Pissed off because I bought a special mix pack from this brewer just to get this drink that is not offered alone in WA. Man I am dissappointed. Thin weak malt with a grassy (as a matter of fact, it puts the ASS in grass), sour finish. Malt is ever so slight and boring beyond reason. This is one of the biggest dissappointments I have ever experienced in a beer; that being the discrepency between what I expected and to that it turned out being. They should seriously be ashamed of themselves polluting the market with such a raunchy brew. What is the deal with Colorado breweries in general?? New Belgium, Flying Dog, Great Divide... they sure make a lot of shitty beer. Keep in mind that Great Divide makes my #1 favorite beer (Hercules IIPA) and a damn fine IPA (Titan); seems like all offerings from this state are a rollercoaster between mediocre and bottled-trash. Good Christ people! Maybe slim down your offerings for the time being and focus on making a handful of drinks that do not blow whale-ass before you churn out a Great Divide Samurai or a peice of shit like this drink. Goddammit I’m mad!! Hammster (187), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Sep 12, 2007 Bottle. Very light in color on the pour. Not much of a head either. The aroma is a nice, light malt. The taste is without doubt light but this is still refreshing and has subtle malt tones. This is disappointing by Flying Dog standards, but still very drinkable. nihar (68), Ohio, USA Sep 12, 2007 On tap at Oakroom, pours with a mild head... very faint aroma... tastes full of hops... not very impressive RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Sep 10, 2007 Pours a clear gold - typical beer color. Minimal head with some lacing. Nose is slightly sweet with little else to it. Flavor comes and goes just as quick. Very little to it. Starts off somewhat sweet and retreats quickly. I guess it saw a better tire down the road to chase. Feel is a little above standard with some extra bubbles. Drinkable, but I don’t know why you’d really want to. Braincage1 (137), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 5, 2007 Bottle. Everyone in the group agreed that this beer was just so average. The 2.5 rating is perfect to describe it - more flavor and charactar than your mass market beer but not enough to make it memorable. tupalev (2605), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 3, 2007 One of those ones I thought I had rated - bottle thanks to my friend Big Red. Golden yellow, good sized white head. Mild hops and light malt in aroma. Good golden ale taste - light malt, with a good amount of bitterness. Light mouthfeel - not fluffy or syrupy, somewhere in between. A good refreshing simple beer. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 04/08/1999
