12oz Bottle. Poured a light straw color with a very thin white head. I’m not too familiar with the style so I don’t really have a reference point. Very light in flavor, rather drink a Gonzo.

Bottle courtesy of Okbeer: Poured an yellow color beer with a small white bubbly head with minimal retention. Aroma of gross malt is dominating and not really enticing. Taste is similar to raw malt with some subtle cardboard in the back. Body is light with some low carbonation. I think something went wrong here but this is definitely not something I would like to try again.

Strong yeast aroma, slight skunkyness. Hazy golden color with a small head and fizzy. Flavor is mild lacking the skunkyness in the aroma but also lacking a lot of taste. Slightly chewy palate finish. Refreshing but bland brew. Re-Rate: Not as bad as it sounds but everything I wrote still applies.

This is too bad. I feel as if I am drinking a heineken. It is actually skunky. There are some great Kolsch’s but this one does not come close....a bummer.

Taken from a winter sampler of Flying Dog...having had the Gonzo porter, hopes are high...a headless pour says perhaps April isn’t a good time for this purchase...mostly transparent orange-copper color...sharp, brassy hops smell...smooth taste and a surprising soft palate...nondescript finish, serviceable with nachos...can’t slam it, but in sharing this sampler, note to self: talk up the label as to invite others to drink, while I select another styling from these fine Coloradoans...

Here’s the deal. I’ve poured this into a glass and decided it’s a lot better ice cold straight out of the bottle. Yellow body with an all to quick to settle white head creates a completely average appearance. Some notes of alcohol and hops in the nose but there is a weird cheap foreign lager character present as well. Flavor is bland but with some hoppy teasers and a malty sweetness. Nothing impressive, wouldn’t bother with it again.

Very clear golden pour, minimal white head. Looks generic. Taste isn’t overpowering - some caramel sweetness and grains here, a little bit of hoppiness at the end. Well carbonated, very light and easy to drink. Unfortunately, also boring.

Pour is a clear light gold. Aroma of citrus and sweet floral malt. Flavors of grain, light hops and malt, with some sweetness. Not very interesting, but a nice easy to drink refresher.
