jeremytoni (1069), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Jun 5, 2007 From the bottle pours golden color with lots of head. Kind of a muted flavor without much of anything to speak of. krysztofar (344), belleville, Illinois, USA May 30, 2007 bottle. color is quite golden with a thin bright white head looks like macro crap really. aroma is slightly sweet with a tinge of soapy hops on the back. flavor is of sweeter malts with some caramel mid palate. hops cut through midway to hasten a clean finish leaving just a little sweetness behind on the tongue. easy to drink but not much going on here. LyndaNova (492), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA May 25, 2007 Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear pale golden color with a thin layer of alabaster bubbles. Aroma is of light grains, citrus, grass and earth. Taste is of light, sweet grains well blended with earthy hops. Light bodied and crisp with good carbonation. Ending is lightly malty and sweet with lemon notes. PattiA (49), Madison, New Hampshire, USA May 25, 2007 Pours out of the bottle a beautiful golden color with a slight head to it. Sweet aroma but not overwhelming. Light bodied brew. Initially, there was a fruity taste. The finish was somewhat bitter with a little kick to it. Medium carbonation, which is not so heavy it feels like they are trying to make up for a lack of hops with more carbonation. This helps with the finish but doesn’t dominate.
RCL (1443), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA May 24, 2007 Slightly floral aromas. Not a bad beer, but nothing to write home about. The hops do save it. DMRz (218), Durham, North Carolina, USA May 23, 2007 I was pleasantly surprised with this one, due to the nice hops and yeast flavors. wcampbell (572), Central, South Carolina, USA May 18, 2007 Not very good. Barely better than most pale lagers. Weak flavor with no aspect of the taste really standing out. tagz (334), USA May 14, 2007 Hazy golden with minimal head. Flying dog must like their mollases because this is the third one in the pack with a distinct burnt carmel taste. This one is distinct from the others in that the hops hold their own. Its an interesting balance between the two flavors really. Underrated IMO. It may not be the most dynamic beer, but its flavorful and drinkable - comparing it to a macro is pretty rediculus.
