Transparent light golden color. Smells a little sweet and canny. Tastes like most others of its kind, a little sweet, a little hoppy, little else.

Bottle. Pint. Slightly sweet aroma that is difficult to detect. Faint head that disappears after the initial pour. Very light golden in appearance. Flavor is reserved, but sweet and noticeably hopped. Lingering grassy finish. OK beer.

one of the less impressive flying dog brews. golden colored, but lacking in flavor, theres hints of hops and malts but nothing to really leave a lasting impression.

This reminded me of stale Genny 12 Horse Ale on a hot day. metallic. Pretty in the glass...but then so is hydraulic fliuid. A strike out for the flying dog.

Bottle. Pours a pretty light golden yellow with small white head. The aroma is some faint sweet honey, hay, some interesting floral notes. Flavor is dry, floral hops up front, then some sticky sweet notes, and some diacetyl. The flavor weakens into the finish, and leaves a wispy, floral, slightly astringent aftertaste.

THOUGHTS: Not much to say about this one. A very average beer. Much more flavorful than the aroma led me to believe. Oly a step upr from a Macro-brew. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a sparkling, clear, light to medium yellow with an average to large, white head. The aroma was moderately malty and light floral and grass hops and lightly yeasty. The initial flavor was mderately sweet, while the finish was heavily sweet, lightly bitter and sour with a short duration. The body was light and slightly dry with fizzy carbonation and a lightly astringent finish.

After trying the In Heat wheat, I was thinking that this would be much better. I prefer ales and hoped this one wouldn’t disapoint - but it did. The aroma is very weak, almost unnoticable but it wasn’t unpleasant. The color is golden and it’s somewhere between clear and hazy. Not much of a head with average carbonation. The flavor isn’t all that bad but it does taste very similar to your typical BMC "lite" beer. Actually more like one of the cheaper BMC’s - busch or beast. One of the strong points is that it’s got a nice feel to it and is pleasant to drink. I could down a few of these if they cost the same as BMC but in Beer Hell (Mississippi) these are considered "Specialty Beers" with special prices. Not bad but nothing special.
