jblendy (518), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Feb 12, 2007 Pours golden with a small, disapearing white head, and champagne like bubbles. Light orange zest and a hint of malts, but mainly remniscent of most macros I’ve had. Mainly apple like bitter-sweetness, and not much else going on in the flavor. Palte is medium/light and grassy. Like other flying dog ales, this is easy drinking, but nothing special. CheersMate1 (770), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Feb 10, 2007 This beer was pretty awful. First of all, the color is nothing special. I don’t understand why one would actually purchase this beer, due to the fact that the taste doesn’t exist. It has too crisp of a finish, as if you were drinking club soda. If you were to let this beer sit out it would probably flatten out in seconds. mrdeath5493 (108), Arkansas, USA Feb 10, 2007 Pale yellow. Light bodied, light flavored. I apparently do not have the ability to distinguish a kolsch from a pale lager. Not offensive, yet very plain. bigcat03 (191), Lincoln, Nebraska, USA Feb 3, 2007 Bottle from Hy-Vee poured into my stand-by glass, the NB globe - Pours clear gold with a 1 finger white head and no visible carbonation; Sour, salty pork and dill pickles to the nose; Made me jump back. Yuck. A little dill and malt on the initial taste; A clean and bready aftertaste; A watery-medium body; Decent carbonation; Nasty aroma, weird taste. Like a really sour pale lager. Would not recommend in any way. jimhilt (1664), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Jan 30, 2007 Pours a two finger white head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Almost cloudy pale amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Slight grassy/hay nose. Starts with a hop bite and has a grainy, hoppy/bitter finish. $1.25 for a 12oz bottle from Smiley’s Beverage Dover, NH. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Jan 21, 2007 Very little malt in the aroma.Pours yellow with a medium head. Not much going on in the flavor.Very thin mouthfeel with a slight malt finish. msjacilynn (18), St Paul, Minnesota, USA Jan 16, 2007 Bottle. Hazy yellow in color. Head is sudsy and decipates quickly. Scent is a mild malt, not overpowering by any means. Beer was actually refreshing. Sweet tasting with a mild astringent aftertaste. Overall a decent beer. Probably great for the summer months! BiochemProf (53), Boone, North Carolina, USA Jan 9, 2007 Golden slightly hazy pour with a white foamy 1-finger head. Strong band-aid aroma. Undercarbonated. Funky stale aftertaste. An aptly named beer.
