| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 17, 2009 Shortlived medium white head, fed by lively carbonation in deep-golden beer. Slightly spicy nose, with some recognisable hops. Very faraway sweetish pale malts. Bitterish, hoppy (seemingly UK hops, if grapey) flavour with a noticeable cardboard background. Hops dominate. Light; backthroat slickness, grist-like. Hops fade away very slowly. Not at all bad, hoppy golden ale. But a Kölsch??? Aber Mensch! Nicht mal nähe! ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 14, 2009 (35.5cl bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Sweet bready and slightly grainy malty aroma with subtle fruity notes of pear, mirabelle and shy herbal hoppy notes in the background. Light-bitter flavour, light bodied with a lively, slightly sharp carbonation. Pale malt character with traces of cara-malt and wheat, also grainy and faint fruity notes; just a whiff of noble hops can be detected towards the slim and slighty bitter finish. What does one expect from a Kölsch ? (14.VIII.09). pivnizub (5106), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
