Feb 17, 2009 Shortlived medium white head, fed by lively carbonation in deep-golden beer. Slightly spicy nose, with some recognisable hops. Very faraway sweetish pale malts. Bitterish, hoppy (seemingly UK hops, if grapey) flavour with a noticeable cardboard background. Hops dominate. Light; backthroat slickness, grist-like. Hops fade away very slowly. Not at all bad, hoppy golden ale. But a Kölsch??? Aber Mensch! Nicht mal nähe!

Feb 14, 2005 Bottled: Pale yellow coloured. Clear. Off white head. Malts and light fruit in the nose. Flavour is very light hoppy and has malt, sweetness and fruitnotes. Not much going on in the end. Thin bodied and dies quickly on the palate.

Aug 14, 2009 (35.5cl bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Sweet bready and slightly grainy malty aroma with subtle fruity notes of pear, mirabelle and shy herbal hoppy notes in the background. Light-bitter flavour, light bodied with a lively, slightly sharp carbonation. Pale malt character with traces of cara-malt and wheat, also grainy and faint fruity notes; just a whiff of noble hops can be detected towards the slim and slighty bitter finish. What does one expect from a Kölsch ? (14.VIII.09).
