GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Aug 19, 2005 Draught. Bad news. The only thing I have to say is I thought I was drinking a Coors Light. ’Nuff said.
Travlr (700), Washington, Washington DC, USA Nov 9, 2009 Appearance is clear golden with a quickly disappearing white head that leaves no lacing.
Smell is very faint, almost undetectable.
Taste is like dilute ricewater, starch with a bit of malt. Not many hops, not much balance. Even considering that the style is not intended to have massive malt or massive hops, the flavor of this one is so subtle that I think I missed it entirely. Slight malty finish.
Mouthfeel is very light and watery.
Drain pour. saxo (3517), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Oct 27, 2009 Sample at Esbjerg beerfestival. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. aroma and taste are malt, hops, citrus and fruits. twistedviews (67), California, USA Oct 26, 2009 i thought this was pretty good for a lighter ale. mostly hoppy, and easy to drink but really good thewolf (5662), Kolding, Denmark Oct 25, 2009 Bottle @ Ølfestival, Esbjerg, 2009.
Pours clear golden with almost no head. Aroma has a little smoke, light brewing cereal, a touch of metal. Highish carbonation, a bit thin. Flavour is sweet, light vegetables. Okay, but a bit harsh hoppiness. Fine dry finish. But still not very good. agillespie81 (190), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 21, 2009 Aroma - faint malt sweetness, light hop;
Appearance - golden, thin yet fluffy head, decent lacing;
Flavor - mild malt front, slight hop back, pretty dry finish;
Palate - crisp though not overpowering; nice body;
Overall - one of the better light ales I’ve experienced, nothing spectacular yet very good, still a tad bitter about the brewery’s move from Colorado though. pivnizub (4953), Bochum, Porúří, Germany Oct 14, 2009 Bottle: Golden with a little haze, almost no head; light to moderate hoppy nose over grains and traces of fruits; light dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; becomes a bit hoppier and drier in the bitter-fruity finish. Fresh summer drink....... TampaBrew (749), Tampa, Florida, USA Oct 11, 2009 Pours a crystal clear yellow. Nose is malt ... the end. Flavor ... malt, mild noble hops. Lawnmower beer. Definitely not a Kolsch. RR (26), Kentucky, USA Oct 10, 2009 bottle. clear golden pour. No head. could have been any american bear. lackluster at best. nothing to write home about.
