Re-Rate 04/26/02: Clear gold in color, nice rich white head, with fair lace. Sweet at the start, top light, finish is dry, acidic, moderate carbonation, drinkable, but not a great beer.

12 oz. bottle. Pale golden colour with a thin but mostly lasting creamy white head. Grany, floral , and lightly acidic aroma. Toasted grain and cereal malts with a floral and lightly dry bitter finish. Light bodied, refreshing but a touch watery.

Had one of these on draft at the Old Bag of Nails Pub in Worthington. Very subtle nose of yeast, nuts, spruce and soap. Pours a light clear honey. The average head is frothy and white with good lacing. The flavor is balanced but shallow/bland. The average bready/yeasty finish reminds of a pilsener. The thin body is creamy and dry with a finish that feels astringent. I’m not impressed.

You know what this is a very good beer. I've read a number of ratings that FD was skunky. You must have gotten a bad bottle. This is very good. Clean and crisp. I'm not measuring it up against the top 50 but on its own. Not bad at all. Reasonably priced. Will see time in my rotation.

Pours very yellow with a white head. A nice floral/yeast aroma. The flavor is very malty with nice fruit but is not overly sweet. If this is a Kolsch, Where are the hops? Mouthfeel is a little watery (5.75% ABV?). Good flavor. I enjoyed it. Not my favorite from Flying dog, but still enjoyable.

Celebrated Halloween with this firecracker. Well I won't say I did too much celebrating. This beer has a crisp smooth taste. First beer of its type for me to drink so I have a feeling there's better out there. It has definately got me interested in the style though.

A good Kolsch with great color. The beer had a great hops to malt ratio. I loved the style and the beer was very refereshing. A stong bite at the end and no pun intended. I would recommmend to others.
