2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
35.5cl bottle from the local supermarket. Best before 2013-10-07. Well they don’t get much paler than this. Medium big foamy head and Lots of carbonation. Aroma is malty and grassy with hints og light brown caramel. Some faint hints of pears and apples. Flavour is pretty bitter. Lots of grass and citrus. Some hops and yeasty bread. A decent lager but nothing special.

Bottle. Golden with a small head. Dry but no great complexity. Still a pleasant if slightly mundane beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2013 Can.
Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, husks), moderately hoppy (resin).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly husky.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Well, shit. My first experience with this from bottle was quite nice (3.4), and almost could have passed for a European-made pils...nice floral-herbal hop nose. But this canned sample is all resin in the hop department and more husky as well. I may retry from bottle again, but this makes me mad.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
My thirst thoughts after pouring this was this is infected. Pours with a huge billowy three finger head that I have only seen in some Belgians. Also tons of sediment in the glass.
The aroma is a little tart but doesn’t scream infection. Some noble hops and light citrus along with a touch of hay. Nothing spectacular but ok.
More spicyness in the flavor along with a tiny bit of bready malt but everything is very faint. A little tartness leading to a moderate bitterness and a very dry finish. Tons of carbonation.
Overall, this beer is far from impressive. I did notice the best before date was about three months ago and I can tell this beer was on its last legs. Still I can’t imagine it being too impressive even fresh.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Smell and taste don’t match which results in a startlingly malty flavour upfront with hints of hops trying to get through. Rather thin texture, Ok lager.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
355ml Can from Peckhams, Glasgow (£2,29):
Pilsner hops aroma with a lot of floral notes and some sweetness on top. There is a definite tropical fruits aroma and some nice, light malts along with a touch of spice.
Light, slightly hazy amber colour with a half centimetre tall and foamy looking, white head that settles to a thin layer on the surface after about a minute.
Floral hops kick things off along with some spice and again the strong tropical fruits make themselves known. There was also a lot of citrus and lemon zest in the taste.
Smooth and a touch spicy with some floral bitterness and a dry yet refreshing beer with a crisp finish.
This one was a nice and pretty refreshing beer that was a good lager with a twist. The tropical fruit flavours were something different and a nice touch with the finish quite a nice and crisp one. This would make a great session lager.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Yellow, peachy hazy. Pils- malty grainy on nose with a bit of butterscotch, caramel and green/citrus hoppyness. Body is light, a bit dry. Has a bunch of citrus-gingery hoppy flavours. A bin grainy-malty. But a nice hoppy lager. A bit hard, bitter and dry though.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle poured clear amber with plenty of visible carbonation bubbles, covered by o small but durable white head.
The aroma is pleasant, with surprising floral and fruity aspects. The malt is evident in tasting, where a sweet, caramel malt arrives before the beer becomes increasingly bitter, with earthy and spicy hops kicking in early on. The finish is good, but the aftertaste has too much bitter grapefruit rind for this style.
M: medium-light body with medium+ carbonation and a slightly dry finish.
O: In the acceptable/average range for this style. Less refreshing than expected.
