Pours golden with white head. Smell is lightly fruity, a touch yeasty and some light breadiness. Nice smell. Taste is on the sweet side initially with a light hop bite in the finish and perhaps an almost herbal quality hiding in there. Overall, a touch more sweet than I’d prefer but not bad. Medium body and slightly overly fizzy carbonation. Decent stuff but I have a feeling if this warms at all it will be too sweet.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This had a clear gold body, loads of bubbles, and a foamy white head that left chunks of lace. It had a spicy floral nose with an underlying grainy sweetness. The flavor held a light grainy sweetness with a pleasant grassy/floral bitterness. The finish was crisp, dry, and bitter. Pretty decent beer.

Was royally bad at first sip. Then I followed the recommendation and had some monterrey jack cheese and it got much better.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from The Swan and Rushes, Leicester. Intriguing lager/ale crossover: the pale looks and fresh citrus aroma of a lager; the gingery bitterness of an amber ale. Drinkable but not outstanding.

can. pours unclear pale yellow with a small white cap showing a minimal retention and some lacing. lightly toasted malts, lagering fruitiness - even some tropical notes - pineapple, pepper, grass, spices - masala touch (!), light chalk and minerals. moderate carbonation, light body - never watery, mellow, dry and crisp herbal-grassy-peppery finish. crisp. quenching.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clean, crisp lager with and IPA undertone. Very session able even if it didn't set my world alight. Nice change from the usual lager standards, though

Bottle from Rehills Newcastle. Sharp, fruity complex flavour - doesn't feel like a lager in anything except strength. Enjoyable, interesting beer

Really nice lager, to me it’s more like an IPA, bitter and fresh. Would like to have more!!!
