Draft at James Street Gastro Pub in Pittsburgh. Unassuming and lacking of distinction and taste. I’d pass on purchasing a second round.

Bottle: Translucent yellow pour, bubbly, with a frothy white head. Mild aroma of malt and grain, lightly grassy. Taste is similar to the nose, as expected. Some metallic bits, but the malt and grain makes it doable.

Bottle 355ml, a golden beer with good head. Nose is resinous and pine like. Aroma is on dry hops, grassy notes, peppery, good bitterness, slightly toasted, aftertaste is dry with intense grass notes, pleasant.

Pours an almost clear gold with a nice head. Lacing and retention are good. Light nose of floral, but not quite sweet, hops over biscuit. Light medium body with slightly smooth texture. Normal carbonation with a touch of effervescence on the finish. Laid back flavor profile of floral hops over a light bitterness. On the finish, a bit of sweet biscuit is noted. A very good lager.

Ok lager. nice bitter hop flavor. Very drinkable. not impressive but hey... it’s a lager. Not every beer you drink must be a big flavor experience.

From a 12 oz can. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Light white bread nose. Flavors of biscuit and a touch of citrus. Crisp finish.

Pours golden with white head. Smell is lightly fruity, a touch yeasty and some light breadiness. Nice smell. Taste is on the sweet side initially with a light hop bite in the finish and perhaps an almost herbal quality hiding in there. Overall, a touch more sweet than I’d prefer but not bad. Medium body and slightly overly fizzy carbonation. Decent stuff but I have a feeling if this warms at all it will be too sweet.

Bottle from The Swan and Rushes, Leicester. Intriguing lager/ale crossover: the pale looks and fresh citrus aroma of a lager; the gingery bitterness of an amber ale. Drinkable but not outstanding.

Clean, crisp lager with and IPA undertone. Very session able even if it didn't set my world alight. Nice change from the usual lager standards, though
