Ibrew2or3 (1648), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA May 11, 2008 Pours gold with thin white head. Nice size aroma of spiciness mixed with some earth, herb, flower pedals and sugar. The taste starts with a lively carbonation kick of malty sweetness becoming nearly lemon citrus with herbal notes. I also get light colored fruit esters to go along with a floral sense. The alcohol can’t help but well up from time to time. Interesting brew.
gueuze_is_god (106), Graham, North Carolina, USA Jul 20, 2008 750ml bottle on clearance @ Sam’s for 3.99- Some other raters have complained about excessive carbonation, but this bottle has basically none. A bit of a lactic acid/ lambic/ raspberry smell, some sweet malt cowering behind it and a vapor trail of earthy hops. Sweet malty taste up front yields to some boozy flavors, slight hop bitterness. This might have been good at one time, but I can see now why this was on clearance- really don’t want to finish this glass of flat unenjoyable brew. At least the bottle is high quality, will reuse it for homebrewing. GMCC2181 (344), Bear, Delaware, USA Jun 11, 2008 Bottle from Swolf! Thanks for sharing wolf! Hazy yellow in color, small head. Raspberry aroma. Taste is a nice fruityness of raspberries and spices. Kind of tart, and lots of carbonation but overall a good summer time brew that I enjoyed on a hot day. Thanks again wolf Swolf3 (16), Elkton, Maryland, USA Jun 11, 2008 Raspberry taste, light hazy yellow color... good summer time beer. Lots of carbonation.
