3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Nose is heavy on the spices and low on the malt and pumpkin, herbal with cinnamon, nutmeg, dash of allspice. Deep chestnut body with some red and a short tan head. Slick malty body with medium sweetness and a big helping of booze, sloshing and aggressive but not too burny, with some woodsy/oaky and gourdy pumpkin notes, spices with surprising bitterness that is only aided by the readily apparent dryness. Mild herbal vein courses through. Medium body and surprisingly drinkable; seasonally appropriate and, well, yum.

Tap at Stagshead. Pours dark brown with one finger head and delightful pumpkin pie nose. Tastes of nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar, pumpkin, coffee, chocolate, earth, and vanilla. Rich and full mouthfeel. Just bitter enough to cut through richness, delightful

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. The pour is a dark brown with virtually no head. Very dark for a pumpkin...odd. Aroma is spicy. Nutmeg, cloves and a dash a cinnamon. Pumpkin and caramel also. Mouth is full of spice up front. The finish is quite dry with note of pumpkin. A little malty. Medium body. Pretty potent, and rightfully so, at least for what I paid. Apparently its the first time FD did a pumpkin beer. Not a bad first offering.

Bottle to snifter. Looks alright; dark for a pumpkin ale though. A semi-transparent dark brown with off-white lacing. Smells solid; pumpkin and appropriate spices. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A decent example of the style.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with almost no head. Nose is fairly spicy with lots of cloves and nutmeg. WAY too spicy and pumpkin-y for my taste - it’s just too strong. No me gusta.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured a deep black/brown with a thick beige head. Aroma is pumpkin, clove, caramel, nuts, and floral. Taste is pumpkin, nutmeg, chocolate, herbs, and a bitter finish. It is quite smooth and easy to drink considering the high ABV.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Poured hazy dark brown orange color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sweet spice and pumpkin aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth pumpkin spice flavor with a medium to heavy spice sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where met.

12 oz. bottle from SoHo Organic Market, Elizabeth City, NC. Cola-like brown pour with a thin off-white. Aroma of roasted pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices. Taste of dark roasted malt with a finish of roasted pumpkin, nutmeg, and alspice. Good overall.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle... Poured dark brown with a light, khaki head. Nose had lots of spice, with roast and pumpkin. Notes of charred grains with loads of spices that worked with a nice bitterness. Squashy and sweet, and pie-like spices. Dark sugars like caramel which added a nice touch.
