3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottles from Caponeís and Craft Ale House. Pours turbid mahogany, appearing dark brown through indirect light with ruby edges, and 1-finger tan head. Nose is fruity malt, pumpkin spice and puree. Tastes malty, with a pumpkin flavor that underscores but integrates well with the fruity maltiness. The pumpkin is a supporting player in this, and it is delicious.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Appearance is a burnt orange brown and clear through light with a fairly big tan head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, toasted malts, chocolate and a woodiness. Mild chocolate and pumpkin coming in a little stronger in the middle and the pumpkin pie spices come towards the end with some coffee and chocolate. Mouthfeel very slick with low carbonation. Overall this is pushing one of my favorite pumpkin beers so far; the pumpkin and spice flavors are not overwhelming and that chocolate note really gives a nice dimension.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a very dark brown color with a small amount of head that quickly fades. Smells pretty much like pumpkin pie spices with there is some malt there too. Taste has a slight sweetness to go with pumpkin pie spices. I donít really taste actual pumpkin but thatís ok. Lots of malt in the finish really helps this beer out. Mouthfeel is pretty thick and the finish is very smooth. 9% abv is well hidden. Much better than most pumpkin beers out there.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice looking beer in the glass....dark cola in color with a small tan head. Aroma of pumpkin, spice and booze. Smell translates to taste, with the emphasis on booze. Too much on the palate leaving a poor aftertaste. OK beer but at $17.00 a six pack, I was expecting better.
