12oz bottle. The pour is a dark brown with virtually no head. Very dark for a pumpkin...odd. Aroma is spicy. Nutmeg, cloves and a dash a cinnamon. Pumpkin and caramel also. Mouth is full of spice up front. The finish is quite dry with note of pumpkin. A little malty. Medium body. Pretty potent, and rightfully so, at least for what I paid. Apparently its the first time FD did a pumpkin beer. Not a bad first offering.

Sample on tap @ the brewery. Pours a dark cola color with a massive foamy light tan head. Full bodied. Thick rich and creamy with some nice fall spice flavors. Very enjoyable.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
This is what I think of as a traditional pumpkin beer ... by which I mean I don’t like it very much. This beer pours dark brown with orange highlights along the bottom and sides of the glass. The head is average, and the aroma is rich and sweet. There’s some brown sugar, ginger, cloves, the usual pumpkin beer notes. The flavor isn’t bad up front, with all of that spice being the dominant character, but the finish is awful. The alcohol is noticeable and medicinal, like cough syrup or NyQuil, and the closing quality is fishy. Literally fishy, like water that’s had frozen fish thawing in it. I will not have this again.

Dark brown, lingering head. Aroma gingerbread spice - a ton of it. If its your thing, you can proceed :)
Also some vermouth and cloves. Palate medium, low carbonation. Taste is liquid ginger dough, liquory. Port wine finish. Nice one, albeit one can be too many. This beer is made to be shared :)

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught @ Headkeeper: In a tulip glass. This one pours a dark, opaque reddish-brown. There was a thin tan head that left some lacing. Lots of malts to the nose, along with some pumpkin pie spices. The taste is very good. Lots of malts, pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices. Some slickness in the mouthfeel.

An above average pumpkin ale, though I thought it to be a bit on the sweet side.
