Why is there only one time of year – as goblins, ghouls, and ghosts frolic on front lawns – when we embrace THE FEAR? At all other times, THE FEAR dominates us, controls us, and prevents us from greatness. What is there to THE FEAR? Disagreement? Criticism? Humiliation? Whatever THE FEAR is that consumes you, embrace it, along with this Imperial Pumpkin Ale. Only then will the true artist in you rise up.

coffee, chocolate, bread, aroma. brown, clear, minimal head, light sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, slick feel, thin feel, soft carbonation, long finish,. Surprisingly good beer, i thought it may be too much for me as the 9%abv. but this is a fantastic beer any day of the week. #hopeoverfear. Good bye Scottish labour! ;-)

One if not the best pumpkin. Dark brown with tan head. Coriander, nutmeg, sweet malt, pine, mint and near perfect balance of pumpkin hits the nose andfollows through with the taste. Very nice.

Clear, dark brown colour, like strong black tea. Only a light head, very light brown. Spicy and sweet aroma. Licorice. Tastes sweet at first, caramel, then a long bitterness and warming sensation from the alcohol. And pumpkin :P Light carbonation. Slightly sticky mouthfeel.

Decent seasonal spice, perhaps some of the nutmeg drowned out by high alcohol.

THOUGHTS: Sort of like a chocolate pumpkin pie, but a better comparison might be to one of those spiced wafers in the the orange and black boxes. Either way it’s a great. Hid alcohol fairly well. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark brown that was just about black in the glass with bright red highlights and a large, beige head that mostly diminished and left good lacing. The aroma contained light caramel and dark chocolate malts; moderate to heavy yeast; sweet and sour pumpkin; pie crust; spice cookies; and pumpkin pie spices. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and slightly bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet, slightly sour. moderate to heavily bitter and hot from from the spices. There was chocolate, pumpkin, pumpkin pie spices, spiced wagers, roasted malt, hints of alcohol, caramel malt, burnt caramel, lots of yeast, chocolate syrup, and both sweet and slightly sour pumpkin. the medium to full body was somewhat dry with a little heat and fairly fizzy carbonation and a dry, slightly chalky and sort of metallic finish.

To mi przypadlo do gustu. Lubie ten amerykanski styl Pumpkin Ale. Mocne ale ta moc niewyczuwalna. Dyniowy smak z przeroznymi przyprawami, gozdziki, moze anyzek. Ale swietnie to polaczone. Piwo ciemno brazowe, metnawe i geste, nieprzezroczyste. Piana srednio wysoka ale twozy pierscienie na szklanicy. Zapach ciekawy lekko biszkoptowo piernikowy. W koncowce rozgrzewajace i o lekkim posmaku migdalow. Polecam szczegolnie jesienia.

Nice aroma full of spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, also a bit of pumpkin in the background), sweet, malty in the background. Aroma is very rich and intense. Pours darkbrown with medium sized, very nice looking, creamy head, that slowly disappears leaving a nice ring. Taste is sweet with medium bitterness. Spices are felt even better in taste. Medium body, medium carbonation. Alcohol warming throat nicely. To sum up: if you have a chance - get this one, one of my favourite beers.

2011 bottle. Poured medium-deep ambery-brown with a dense beige head. The aroma picked up heavy pumpkin meat with all the complementary spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, etc.), some darker malts (caramel and chocolate notes), and moderate warmth.. a kiss of orange peel right on the back.. loved it! The flavor found pumpkin meat, vanilla, and a touch of nutty maltage at the core, with pie spices, bitter orange peel, and peppery warmth laced throughout.. finished tangy, warm, and satisfying. Medium-plus bodied and well-balanced on the palate.. this was awesome all around!

Wow. yum. This thing rocks. Has a great aroma of pumpkin and spices. Has a flavorful zesty pumpkiny flavor. Very well balanced compared to a lot of pumpkin ales. Im usually not a fan of non hoppy beers but this thing is so rich and yummy. Will drink again
