Thin tan head thats short lived, minimal lace. Clear mahogany colored brew. General pumpkin spice nose,a touch yeasty, leafy. Body is medium, lil chewy, oily on the palate, soft carbonation. Flavors are laid back with the general spices and notes of chocolate, caramel and a light roastyness and a little bit of booze rounding it out. Dry maltyness in the finish, spicey with a nice bite. Bottle from statelineliquors. Easy drinkin for a 9%er.

Heady, but dissipates fast. No color note. Smells like clove, cinnamon, and chocolate. Sweet. Some pumpkin. Taste is pumpkin, toasty, dry, and malty. Lingers pleasantly.

On tap at Rustico’s OktoBEERfest 2011. Served in a plastic pint. Reviewed from notes. Pours a fairly-dark brown color with a light tan head. Moderate lace. Nose brings forward some nice pumpkin spice and a bit of chocolate and roast. The flavor blends the pumpkin and porter characteristics quite well. A bit of booze, though not much. Medium body with good roast and spice. Well done; I like this pumpkin "sub-style."

Draft at Tuskie’s. Pours black with an inch of khaki foam that disappears quickly. Notes of pumpkin on the nose as well as the tongue. Also get a raisin type note as well which is probably the alcohol. Solid example of style.

Decent seasonal spice, perhaps some of the nutmeg drowned out by high alcohol.

Mini growler fill from Pinocchio’s. Dark brown with a spotty beige head. Nose is cinnamon, toffee, nutmeg and raisin. Body is kind of thick and rustic with a zesty buzz. Obviously quite dark for a pumpkin brew, delivering in the taste as well. Strong molasses, spruce and licorice with cinnamon stick, broiled grapefruit, cardamon and i might guess some pumpkin. A crazy hodgepodge that i grew to enjoy.

Deep brown pour, off white head. Aromas of spice, pumpkin, and little toasted nuts. Nice flavor, lightly sweet, not over spiced like a few pumpkin ales. Bitterness on the back end. Good dry finish with alcohol hidden well. Overall, a good sipping beer that is pretty big, but very drinkable.

Draught at Whole Foods Devon: Aroma of malt, light pumpkin, and a hint of spice. Poured very deep amber/brown in color with a small, creamy, dense, off-white head that lasted throughout though diminished. Clear. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet and slightly bitter. Tastes of alcohol, pumpkin, burnt caramel, and spice. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Pumpkin, malt, spice, alcohol finish is dry. 9%ABV is noticeable in the flavor, and a bit hot.

A really dark beer. Stout like. Not much pumpkin but has the right spice mix. Overall, one of the better pumpkin beers out there. This will be in my fridge ever October.
