Pale yellow, skunky, bland.....didn’t even care to finish it....maybe just an unlucky bottle.....dissapointing to say the least.

Funny, I don’t usually like Flying Dog, and I don’t usually like witbiers, and so I guess 2 wrongs do make a right, because I liked this refreshing and authentic wit. Spicy nose, very phenolic with a lot of coriander and clove, zesty light palate, clean (but for phenols) finish, semi-dry. Pale yellow-white, modest head, plenty of carbonation.

Aroma is subtle with spices and malts. The flavor is strong on the spices up front with a decent malty backbone. Not bad overall but a bit to heavy on the spices.

Fkying dog night. So far, I find these beers just lacking that little push that puts into above average.
It’s a nice floral aroma, some good ofruit and spice. It’s ok.

Golden slightly hazy pour with a quickly fading white head. Soft phenolic and fruity ester aroma. Sweet and spicy flavor at start with a nice crisp dry finish. Hints of pear and soft phenolics. Medium bodied with a nice tingly carbonation. Another great one from Flying Dog.

Bottle RBESG Grand Tasting 2009 Harlequin, Sheffield. Cloudy Yellow. Esthery banana nose with some hops. Sweet malty, yeasty, banana, fruit. Rather one dimensional.

Bottle. The pour was a cloudy medium yellow with a large (3-4 finger) white rocky head that had decent retention and produced some good lacing.
The aroma was of straw like malts and a moldy yeast with hints of citrus (orange peel), wheat and some clove.
The taste was lightly acidic with a nice dose of wheat and a note of citrus in the beginning then became very yeasty with a bit of spiciness at the end. The flavor stuck around for an average amount of time after the swallow allowing for the spices and wheat to be fully appreciated by the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was just a bit heavier than light in body and was watery at first then mildly dry at the finish in texture with a moderate carbonation.
Overall a very drinkable Witbier with a nice strong residual wheat flavor.
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 AWMiller (476) - Mansfield, Texas, USA - SEP 22, 2011
Yowzers what a delicious witbier; definitely going into my Brew Hall of Fame!!! This brew poured up a cloudy straw-colored body sporting a huge frothy head with awesome retention and lacing! Hints of clove, lemon-grass, sweet malts, spices, mellow yeast and light citrus-y fruits (lemons, oranges). The body is very light and exceptionally refreshing; scents and flavors complement well with none overpowering the other.
