Bottle from Utobeer, drunk whilst watching the Tour de France on a Friday just before eating which is my favourite time for a wit. Cereally wheaty aroma. Solid wit with plenty of cereal in mouth, some good light lemon and some hop without getting too soapy. Solid and does everything you would expect.

Bottle, The Cave, Glasgow. Definite extra marks for paying homage to the home of the great HST, and the Steadman graphics on the label. The brew ain’t too shabby either. Slightly hazy light golden pour with a wee white head that lingered. Clove and citrus aroma with a hint of banana. More of the same in the flavour with trace coriander and hop. Zesty and nicely thirst quenching.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Hazy yellow pour. The aroma is quite light. Soft citrusy coriander and a fairly nice light sweetness. A bit of light lingering breadiness. Meh, it’s quaffable enough, but not terribly interesting. A kiss of light wheat.

Bottle. High white creamy and lasting head. Hazy light yellow body. Mild apple pear aroma. Leomon apple pear pineapple flavor with low carbonation and a short aftertaste.

Tap at the Blind Tiger. Very sweet, fruity for a wit. Light notes of yeast and wheat but not much. Not seeing much spice at all, just fruit esters and crappy fermentation by-products.
