Belgian whites are almost always among my favorite beers, but this one falls woefully short. The bitterness totally overpowers the more subtle orange and coriander flavor. Sad to say but Blue Moon is far better.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed golden-straw color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades super-fast to leave a tiny bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a yeasty smell mixed with a spicy smell of coriander and clove. A decent wheaty base is there as well, along with some lemongrass and a little bit of an orange smell. Taste – The taste begins with a lighter wheat bread flavor as well as having a rather heavy yeasty and spicy flavor of coriander and clove. Along with these flavors comes some tastes of a citrus orange and some light banana. As the taste moves on further, the orange fades while the banana increases a bit. A little bit of lemon come to the tongue along with some hay and a grassy taste. In the end with the dawdling of the orange sweetness, the advent of the grass and hay, and the good level of yeast and spice, one is left with a rather balanced witbier flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is on the thinner and crisper side with a carbonation level that is average to just above average. For the lighter abv. and the yeasty and wheaty flavor of the brew, the feel is rather decent and makes for a rather refreshing beer. Overall – A rather decent and refreshingly balanced wit. Rather well done and an easy drinker at only 4.8 %.

Bottle from Great Grog. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head that slowly fades. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of straw, lemon, yeast and a hint of white pepper. Flavour of lemon sweets, pear drops and a hint of banana. Thin body with a light, oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A bit dull...

"eh. not bad. aroma of yeast, citrus, spice (coriander)...similar flavor, a little muddled. slight overcarbonation and a light feel, otherwise a solid wit entry."

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow gold body under a one finger frothy white head. The nose is nightly spicy with wheat and a light yeastiness. Gently spiced flavor with coriander and orange peel, rather smooth and easy drinking with enough yeastiness to soften the spices. Light bodied and soft on the palate with a lingering coriander laced finish. Pretty basic Wit, but enjoyable.

Pours pale yellow with cloudiness from the yeast. Aroma Yeast and wheat. Tastes yeast and wheat but a little thin compared to a higher abv beer. Okay but prefer hoegarden over this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Cloudy yellow appearance with a big head that hung around for some time.Quite wheaty and easy to drink. I am not a fan of this style but found this one easy to drink.

BBD 232/14. Pours a pale yellow with a very slight haze. Massive head with excellent lacing and retention. Very nice Belgian nose of coriander, orange and yeast with a slight pepper note. Light medium body with a smooth texture that has some creamy feel to it as well. Slightly above normal carbonation that yields a nice effervescence on the finish. The flavor profile is complex and well balanced. The flavors of the nose are all present, with coriander and orange being most prevalent. The finish is crisp with just a touch of pepper underlying the coriander. While not as flavor intensive as Allagash White, this one is still outstanding.

Poured from 12oz bottle. Nice golden hue with a brilliant white head. Notes of orange peel and banana. Lacking in mouthfeel and flavor for something that looked so promising. --you've been Dubbed.
