3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 fidelis83 (1354) - Clinton, USA - OCT 12, 2008
Pours pineapple-orange juice-orange, with a 2 finger fine bubbled white head that lasts quite a while but leaves no lacing. Aroma is yeast, bananas, wheat, orange, spice, sweet orange cranberry bread, honey wheat bread. Flavor is lots of yeasty bread rolls, orange juice, spicy hops, and a little nutty note right at the end. Body is pretty thick and sticky for a Wit, maybe not a good thing but it is a little sweeter than most Wit’s I have had too.

Poured from the bottle into a 4oz glass to drink. The beer had a cloudy, hazy gold-white color with a small foamy white head with some cling, light lacing, and shorter retention. Its aroma featured a strong yeast component, along with a mixture of lemon and citrus, and a bit of wheat. It taste was a sweet-sour wheat flavor with lighter tastes of lemon and yeast. The beer was thin and dry with low carbonation and a lighter body and mouthfeel. Not one of my favorite styles of beer, but this one was not too bad. Thank you to Eric and Siobhan for the tasting.

The smell of this beer had me very excited, nice floral notes with a bit of banana clove, the taste was very dissapointing with an almost grassy taste also not much on the palate. Overall I was not satisfied because usually flying dog is great.
