3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma is musty. Light. Grape. A bit of caramel.
Look is a little thin. Brown grape color.
Taste is light. Malty. A little hint of must. Really light but itís ok. Hint of grape.
Light... Acidic. Not bad but not great.
Overall a pretty boring beer. Light and malty. A hint hint of some Belgianness.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a clear ruby color. It really is a beautiful poor - too bad itís clarity makes me a bit wary. The head isnít too impressive, either. Itís a one finger light brown affair, without much in the way of retention or significant lacing. The pretty-looking body ticks its score up a notch or two.
S: The aroma definitely suggests something bready and peppery. Beneath the (bog-standard) yeast character, thereís a character of fruit esters, and some *very* sweet caramel. I canít say Iím finding the nose to be impressive...
T: There definite wisps to suggest itís a dubbel - for example, it opens with a fairly bready tone - but even on the first sip, I know this one isnít going to be Rochefort 6. The finish is almost generically sweet: there really isnít much in the way of defined character. It doesnít seem like that much of a problem, but defined subtlety is what can make or break a dubbel - and that generic finishing sweetness (along with the lack of depth) keep it in Mediocreville.
M: Pretty thin, and also pretty light in terms of carbonation. The wet finish leaves behind a lot of lingering sweetness, but this doesnít really harm the drinkability too badly.
O: Not much of a proper dubbel, but not BAD. Iíd recommend this to a beginner drinker: the yeast profile is both subdued and very basic. That, and itís easy to drink. Itís lowish score stems from the fact that itís vapid and unfulfilling to someone who enjoys this style done well.

Poured deep brown with a foamy, white head. Aroma is bread and raisin. Rather bland in taste Ė a little bit of winter fruit with a dry finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle into tulip glass, clear brown color with light tan head. Aroma of banana/clove Belgian yeast dominates backed with come caramel malt. Taste adds notes of candy sugar, spices, slight nuttiness and some dark dried fruits (raisins, figs). Light body, moderate-heavy carbonation, dry, thin with toasty yeasty finish. I feel this doesnít quite reach the mark of many abbey dubbels Iíve had before, decent and easy drinking though.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear light brown pour with a white head. The aroma has some toffee and brown sugar notes. The flavor is a mix of toffee, brown sugar, biscuit and light grape notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle from Crossroads Spirits. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small fizzy khaki colored head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, caramel malt, and a light fruitiness. Taste of banana, sweet dark fruit, hints of caramel malt, and Belgian yeast. Mouthfeel is way too fizzy, almost to the point where itís hard to make out some flavors.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured from 12oz bottle. Decent beer from Flying Fish. Didn't quite have the mouthfeel and depth of flavor i would expect from the style, but tasty nonetheless for an american dubbel.
