COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Belgian-style Abbey Dubbel is an exceptionally complex beer with many interwoven flavors. This classic-style Abbey beer features an immense head with a fruity nose and a generous body. Malty in the middle, the beer features a clean, almondy dry finish and a slight alcohol warmth. More like a wine than a beer—it has a lot of the qualities of a fine Burgundy. The beer is bottle-conditioned.

Beer of month club. Pours a brown with reddish hue into a snifter. Nose of brown sugar and spice. Taste is dark fruit, pumpkin spice, and malt. Easy to drink, pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ft, Lauderdale, Fl - Total Wine - 12 oz bottle. Murky dark brown pour, slight, but persistent eggshell colored head, light lacing. Aroma has some brief chocolate accents, some earthy peat-like notes. Chewy flavor with some light chocolate notes, some molasses sweetness, a hint of dates, touch of brown sugar in the back end. Thick, chewy mouthfeel. Pretty decent.

Bottle purchased on a brewery run thru Maryland and poured into a snifter reddish dark brown with minimal head. Aroma is malty with dark fruits. Flavor is mild for a dubbel. Quite Smooth.

12oz bottle - pours a dark amber/brown with a slight head that coats the glass. The aroma is mostly sweet prune like malt but also a touch of rich biscuit and herbal notes. A mouthful is slightly thin yet layered with rich ripe fruit malts coupled with a tiny hint of pumpernickel.

Bier riecht relativ malzbetont mit einem Hauch von Klebstoff. Der Geschmack ist relativ seicht: malzig mit etwas Asche im Hintergrund.

Draft. Reserved aroma. Medium carbonation. Rich, dark brown color. Very dry for a beer. Muted malt hop flavors. No off flavors or aromas. Clean finish.

Bottle. Pours dark amber with small light beige foamy head that disappeared immediately, slight roasted malt aroma, medium carbonation, mellow roasted malt taste, abrupt finish. Lacks the kick of an abbey dubbel!
