duff (5400), Sydney, Australia, England Jun 20, 2003 Aroma and start are sweet and yeasty (ribena and apple skins that have been lying in the sun for a while), some plums, grapes and a touch of nuttyness and caramel. I dig the malts, caramelly, nutty, slightly smoky and roasty, plummy, some grapes, light acidity and tartness. Belgian yeast is obvious, nice dry finish to counter the sweetness in the start. In a wierd way i wasn't expecting too much, but i was pleasantly surprised. I dig the lingering nuttyness in your mouth after every sip. Rastacouere (5109), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 7, 2004 Amber body, clear, off-white head. Aroma consists mostly of malty caramel and brown chocolate. Light yeast notes, mild fruits and something creamy also make act of presence. Yeasty chocolate palate. very mild, lightly tart. Light-medium body, medium carbonation. Okay american interpretation on a tough to execute style. Very accessible.
