COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This ESB is a classic British extra special bitter made fresh with an American slant. A beautiful copper color with an amber head, classic style features six different malts, including imported Belgian malts, and three hop varieties. The rich malty start features caramel notes that develop into a smooth, pleasurable hop finish. Draft only as of September 2012.

Draft at the Khyber. Medium-light amber pour with some white foam. Tastes like a traditional ESB. Weak and inconsequential. At least feels less plastic than the commercial Euro versions.

(From 2010 notes) 12 oz bottle served in pint glass. Undated bottle but purchased at high turnover vendor (Total Wine) from a new display and consumed within days, so it should be fresh. A - slightly hazy lght amber. Standard pour yielded barely enough head to cover the top, and this quickly disappeared. Tiny amount of sediment in bottle (added to pint). S - rather average, at best. T - nice malty taste with fairly even balance of sweet and bitter. More bitter is expected in an ESB but this had a minimal effect on my ratings M - low carbonation; medium body

Pours clearish copper, with lots of carbonation, thin body. Light head and lacing. Aromas and flavor of caramel, malts, light hops, and other hard to pick up flavors. Sessionable beer but there’s better esb’s from england.
