COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This ESB is a classic British extra special bitter made fresh with an American slant. A beautiful copper color with an amber head, classic style features six different malts, including imported Belgian malts, and three hop varieties. The rich malty start features caramel notes that develop into a smooth, pleasurable hop finish.

Sweet hops nose, Dark copper amber color, nice caramel malt and hops taste. A good brew!

This is another delicious beer. It has a very agreeable crispness. Very light in color but full in taste. Though the Extra Pale Ale is their signature beer this one definately offers more enjoyment.

Beer Engine - Sweet, almost fuity aroma. Moderate malt body. Generous English hops provide a nice balance.

nice, thirst quenching brew. not overly hoppy, and kinda dry ,but certainly high potential for getting one drunk

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2003 Rerate: Had on Tap. Nothing special in the bottle, but on tap this beer is full of flavor, with a great balance between malt and hops- although I would have prefered more hops and more bitterness.

Nice off-white head and lace. The nose is very malty and I get a whiff of chocolate malt. The palate is dry and malty with a touch of hops on the finish. I find this beer to be well crafted and enjoyable, but not over the top in complexity. A good go to beer.

Poured nice golden color with little head and little lacing. Had nice full taste with a sweet citrusy taste with a nice balanced bitter hop finish. I was surprised, this was pretty good.

I liked this one even though it was not what I was expecting--it was not at all bitter, for one. Cold tasting. Very fruity, and in a subtle way. Very very smooth. My only complaint is that there was a very slight sweetness to the malt that I did not like, although I only started to notice it towards the end of the bottle. Extremely pleasant, and relatively complex aftertaste. Overall a very likeable beer, very subtle and complex.

An exceptionally well balanced ESB, with good malt sweetness paired with a background of bitterness. There’s also a nice hint of hop aroma. Maybe a bit lacking on body for an ESB but other very good.
