COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This ESB is a classic British extra special bitter made fresh with an American slant. A beautiful copper color with an amber head, classic style features six different malts, including imported Belgian malts, and three hop varieties. The rich malty start features caramel notes that develop into a smooth, pleasurable hop finish.

A rather unusually caramel-tasting bitter, but quite good.

Clear amber body topped by a smallish beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, earthy/floral, some toffee/caramel. Taste is mild up front, before opening up into a very tasty mix of earthy, caramel, toffee, and floral. Light-medium body.

12 oz bottle-pours an off white head. Color is amber. Tastes malty, good carbonation. Finishes slightly bitter.

Sparkling clear, amber ale... the very definition of amber. The aroma is of caramel, chocolate and light grapefruit. Malty sweet and fairly bitter flavor. Almost balanced, but the syrupy sweet maltiness wins out overall. Medium-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Short, bittersweet finish.

Bottle from Oak Tree. Pours amber with a creamy/bubbly beige head. Aroma of burnished malt, floral, and perhaps a hint of diacetyl. Perhaps. Med body. Flavor is malt, floral hop, and something suggesting butterscotch. It is certainly more bitter than not. Nothing really wrong here, it just doesn’t make any strong statements.

Poured a medium golden color with a small white head. Aromas and tastes of some malts and orange citrus. Smooth body. Drinkable (but nothing that really stands out).
