2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Made the mistake of drinking this after a real DIPA this afternoon, Moylans. The difference was AMAZING! Even my Glissade swillin buddys were in shock. Cute little light colored brew with some floral hop flavors and aromas and a genteel spicey bite in the finish. Not sure how FF can call this a DIPA? The Moylans made it look like a rookie play. Nice but a tad tame?? Oh well.

Thes best yeat of the Exit series from Flying Fish. Deep amber color with thick lasting head. Malty and fruity aroma. Hoppy and slightly sweet fruity flavor. very well balanced and tasty. Definitely no Meadowlands swamp water in this stuff!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to swalden28 for sharing this bottle at a recent tasting.
The beer pours a clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is resiny hops and not too much else. The flavor is more of the same. This is definitely a DIPA with an emphasis on resiny hops. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle Pours a clear light yellow with a good froathy white head. The head lasts well and produces excellent lacing. Has a good aroma of hops, I get grapefruit, pine and sweet fruits like pineapple. Has a good acrbonation. The mouthfeel is perfect. Has a good soft biiter flavor. Not too much but just right. The texture is a touch on the dry side. Has a great finsh with a smooth aftertaste. This is just plain one great beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Oak Tree in S. Plainfield NJ: A thick, fluffy white head sits atop a hazy golden brown beer. Citric hop aromas blend with notes of apricot and lemon. Grassy bitterness, notes of grapefruit pith and some lemon-lime qualities. Fairly dry. A solid beer, but lacks the fresh, juicy, resinous hop character I like in an IIPA.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: SEP 13, 2013 Note: this rating is for the original release, not for the new beer brewed in the new brewery which isn’t nearly as good.
From a 750 into a snifter. Aroma is just outstanding... the best part of this beer and the best aroma I’ve smelled in an IPA .... probably ever. It’s of mango and papaya and flowers and pineapple... just awesome. Pours with an inch or so of fizzy head with disappears quickly leaving no lacing. Mouthfeel is very good, dry, tart but a tiny bit overcarbonated. It doesn’t really detract from the beer but it is the one soft spot of this beer. Taste is just about as good as the smell. Includes all of those flavors and with some resin, pine and bitter hops. Very dry beer and not a bit sticky... different for this type of IIPA, but I like it a lot. If you can get you paws on a bottle of this, by all means do it. You’ll like it a lot!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A: The pour is a pale golden color with a light haze and a very fluffy white head on top.
S: A very intense citrus aroma which is primarily grapefruit, along with a touch of tropical fruits such as pineapple. A light sweetness and perhaps a bit of pine.
T: I was a bit disappointed that the flavors did not quite live up to the nose, but the components were quite similar. The bitterness was more pronounced than I would expect with the pine and grapefruit being the primary hop contributions.
M: Fairly light in body, which is likely due to the rice used in the brewing of the beer. A nice crisp and moderate level of carbonation.
D: A really nice IPA from the side of the country that I generally shy away from in regards to the style. A really excellent nose and a nice beer to try.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thanks Michael for this in a trade!
A- Body is a translucent light orange hue-very foggy. The fogginess is dynamic as it whirls around the glass. Pours with a 1 finger foamy white head which has great retention at 1/2 finger. Lots of lacing all the way down the glass.
S-Huge grapefruit presence as well as other citrus fruit juice and a hint of earthy and grassy hops.
T- Taste upfront is pretty balanced with a good dose of grapefruit hoppy goodness and a nice, subtle pale rice background that compliments the hops well. The finish is pretty consistent with the initial flavor and a moderate strength, in-check hop bitterness lingers.
P-High carbonation and lightweight body-drinkable but somewhat thin.
O- This is a nice fruity citrus IPA. Its really good, really drinkable, and very well balanced. Its certainly no hop bomb but it is a different and interesting IPA in its own right. This is an awesome Jersey Beer!
