Poured a golden yellow with no head and an aroma of pineapple, vanilla, and pine. Powerful aroma, but not especially pleasing. Flavor of pineapple, hops, vanilla, and papaya. Nice beer!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, pineapple, tropical fruits, pine, vanilla, light starch, with some honeyed malts as well. Taste of pine, pineapple, tangerine, lots of tropical fruits, citrus, some toast, and a dry, bitter hoppy finish. Great hop, inspired me to go home and brew a citra wild.

On tap at Iron Abbey. Quite hoppy with a strong citrus flavor. Dry with bitter aftertaste. Last drop of pint tasted as good as the first. A solid performance.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a yellow/golden color with a creamy white head. Aroma is quite hoppy, as you might expect. Citrus and piney scents shine through. The rice does dry this out a little and really lets you taste the hops. I like it, but it’s average.

Pours copper/gold with a generous white head. Smells of resin, wildflowers, grassy, some metallic elements. Tastes citrussy and bitter with a big peppery finish.

Bottle. Cloudy goldish amber. What a delicious aroma - spicy, citrusy, the beach. Lively. Flavor intensely citrus, lime and orange, bitterness almost perfectly balanced although I don’t mind it slightly off center. I just love the smell - woodsy more than piney, and maybe it’s just sentimental, but it smells like ... New Jersey, and not the part you’re thinking. The pine barrens, the shore. This should have been a Parkway Exit 0 release or something. Nice lacing. It’s a little thinner than I’d like. Flying Fish is really setting new standards with the Exit series. Exit 4 is excellent, Exit 1 was quite good and now Exit 16 - these are all better than anything they’ve done before IMO.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to swalden28 (with the assist from ericandersnavy). Pours with a small white head and a hazy golden body. Aroma is hoppy, bitter, citrus and dank. Taste is bitter and pine. Not much balance, and not a super interesting hop profile from the citra (the other c-hop dominates). Medium carbonation.

On tap at Capone’s. Pours an almost clear yellow gold with a thin creamy white head. Big clean pine with a light citrus background and a nice subtle caramel malt backbone. Medium bodied with a lot of hop presence. Big and earthy. Finishes up with a long lingering tannic grapefruit bitterness. Nice.
