COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You are holding the inaugural release in a multi-year brewing experiment-to brew a series of beers as diverse as the great state of New Jersey. Our theme is the state-long artery that connects us. Each beer will focus on the unique aspect of an individual exit, whether an ingredient or event. The journey begins at Exit 4- right up the street from the Flying Fish brewery. As one of the first craft brewers to embrace Belgian-style beers, we’ve chosen to start with a Belgian trippel, finished with plenty of American hops. Note the hazy golden hue and the aroma of citrus with hints of banana and clove. Then taste the Belgian malt flavors and a subdued bitterness in the finish. Bottle conditioned, this beer will develop as it ages. Enjoy.

Bottle. Medium golden color - slightly cloudy. Sweet, slightly malty aroma. Strong malt and alcohol flavor with a good hop finish. Fairly sweet.

Excellent representation of the Belgian style. Soft carbonation, esters, little hoppier than typical tripel, sweet, but definitely not cloying, some over-ripe banana tones. A bit of a zing in the mouth feel at the finish. Good stuff.

I thought I would hate it, based on the smell. However, it was sweet, not too barky, refreshing, and super-powerful. Julie got it on draft, and we liked it so much I may get a case. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured golden, clear with a nice white foamy head. Aroma of fruit (mostly banana), floral notes, some malts and some yeast. Taste is also fruity and sweet, a bit boozy, you can also taste some spicy notes and some yeast. Certainly very Belgian like, well executed and quite enjoyable.

Pours light orange with a one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus, dank hops, tropical fruits, candied belgian yeast, ripe sour fruits, and some musty grapes. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma with the addtion of some very light booze. Has a medium-full body with a creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, semi dry, slightly warming, medium-long finish. Overall, a tasty trippel that is pretty hoppy for the style.

12oz bottle - Aroma - perfumey hop character, spicy, light alcohol present with a slight tropical fruit angle Appearance - pale golden color, hazy, small dissipating white head, little to no retention. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, light carbonation...almost wish for a spritzier beverage Flavor - pine needles and caramel up front. Old juicy oranges, spices, some staw notes too. Surprisingly sweet thought the alcohol helps zap the malts somewhat. Tasty. Overall - Complex and tasty, a nice example of an above average tripel. Very flavorful and a single bottle won’t break the bank.

Very well done, with well balanced coriander and florals. This is much better than some of their stuff I had a couple years ago - good to see them coming along. Golden hazy pour, thickish consistency. Light sweet finish. Very drinkable. Bottle from Chevy Chase.

Draft at White Oak Tavern, served in a goblet. Hazy yellow gold with fading white head and lacing. Nice combo of city's and floral hops with malt sweetness and spicy Belgian yeast. Well done.

12oz bottle. It pours a golden hazy yellow with great lacing and a soapy white head. Smells pretty good - definitely some spicy notes. The taste is very good, and the palate is very smooth, pretty much what I expect from belgian-style trippels. Very good American Trippel.
