COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You are holding the inaugural release in a multi-year brewing experiment-to brew a series of beers as diverse as the great state of New Jersey. Our theme is the state-long artery that connects us. Each beer will focus on the unique aspect of an individual exit, whether an ingredient or event. The journey begins at Exit 4- right up the street from the Flying Fish brewery. As one of the first craft brewers to embrace Belgian-style beers, we’ve chosen to start with a Belgian trippel, finished with plenty of American hops. Note the hazy golden hue and the aroma of citrus with hints of banana and clove. Then taste the Belgian malt flavors and a subdued bitterness in the finish. Bottle conditioned, this beer will develop as it ages. Enjoy.

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2010 Orange citrus nose with a stong American hop presence. Pours hazy golden orange hue with light white head...nice lacing. Light orange taste blending to an orange peel hop bite with a hoppy balance and slight belgian yeast finish. Very refreshing.

12oz bottle - Aroma - perfumey hop character, spicy, light alcohol present with a slight tropical fruit angle Appearance - pale golden color, hazy, small dissipating white head, little to no retention. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, light carbonation...almost wish for a spritzier beverage Flavor - pine needles and caramel up front. Old juicy oranges, spices, some staw notes too. Surprisingly sweet thought the alcohol helps zap the malts somewhat. Tasty. Overall - Complex and tasty, a nice example of an above average tripel. Very flavorful and a single bottle won’t break the bank.

Very well done, with well balanced coriander and florals. This is much better than some of their stuff I had a couple years ago - good to see them coming along. Golden hazy pour, thickish consistency. Light sweet finish. Very drinkable. Bottle from Chevy Chase.

Draft at White Oak Tavern, served in a goblet. Hazy yellow gold with fading white head and lacing. Nice combo of city's and floral hops with malt sweetness and spicy Belgian yeast. Well done.

12oz bottle. It pours a golden hazy yellow with great lacing and a soapy white head. Smells pretty good - definitely some spicy notes. The taste is very good, and the palate is very smooth, pretty much what I expect from belgian-style trippels. Very good American Trippel.

12oz bottle from Crossroads. A NJ brew if passed on 100 times. Finally giving it a shot. Pours a clear golden color with two fingers of foamy white head. Aroma of apples, Belgian yeast, clove, and sweet candied sugar. Taste of candied sugar, citrus zest, bready malts, Belgian yeast, and hints of apple.

Bottle from Total Wine in Boca Raton, FL. Pours a golden yellow with a foamy white head in my snifter at home. Aroma is fruity, Belgian yeasts, bread dough, sweet nectars, and spices. The taste was mote muted than the aroma but basically the same. A little bit of a farty finish with bread, spices and yeasts. Carbonated, medium light body. Overall not bad.

12oz bottle, aged for approx 1.5 years (2012 release). So they were right, it aged pretty well! It pours a golden hazy yellow with great lacing and a soapy white head. My sniffer’s pretty shot due to allergies, but it’s quite stinky, and it smells pretty good - definitely some spicy notes that have been bottled up for a while! The taste is very good, and the palate is very smooth, pretty much what I expect from belgian-style tripels. It can hold its own with the big dogs.

Garrafa. Aroma incrível de lúpulos cítricos, ótimo! Sabor não traz todo o amargor que o aroma promete, mas é extremante equilibrado com o dulçor. Residual muito equilibrado e sem calor alcoólico. Baita ceva!
