3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Poured a medium hazy amber/orange with a small white frothy head that was mostly diminishing and had fair lacing. The aroma was moderately heavy of resin hops, a mild straw malts and a doughy yeast with a hint of citrus and alcohol. It tasted mildly sweet and slightly malty at first and then became slightly bitter-sweet with a hint of yeast and alcohol at the finish. Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and dry in texture with a very soft carbonation. Overall a nice tasty tripel with a complexity of flavor.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Joe Canals West Deptford.
Appearance: Beautifully clear golden-orange body with a dense light tan head on top. Very clean and flat head with good retention.
Aroma: The aroma is light with floral notes, hints of sweet orange, orange rind, hints of lemon and a touch of red apples.
Taste: This is a nicely balanced beer with sweet citrus, yeast, a touch of bubblegum, and a hint of vanilla on the finish. Clove is very subdued and the finish is slightly sweet with a hint of apples, sort of a semi-sweet cider finish. This drinks nicely.
Palate: Full-bodied, light to moderate carbonation.
Overall: This is less hoppy than I remember and also sweeter than I remember. It’s not my favorite tripel, even with it being designated as an American Tripel. I do think that it’s a good value though for those looking for a unique take on the style.

Bottle. Pretty clear, slightly cloudy. Nice Belgian aroma. Subtle flavor notes of banana and clove, but not to the extent of a hefe. Doesn’t taste as strong as it is!

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
From ed5388 in local swap 5.2. Meh. Different than most triples I have tried. A little grainy carbonated. Not bad but no real positives for me

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The golden pour is almost clear with a white head. The aroma has banana and herbs. It has a full body with thick, slick texture and average carbonation. The taste is sweet with some alcohol warmth.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This one poured a hazy yellow color with a white head. Aroma was of belgian sugar and spices, and fresh fruity and piney hops. Falvor was similar, very bright and fresh flavors, definitely one of the best tripels ive had in a long while.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at HOTB. Awesomely surprising tripple. Pours a clear golden color with a slight white head. Aroma of slight citrus mixes with the caramel notes from the tripple. I am loving this hopped up version of a tripple. Medium thick body and medium carbonation.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: FEB 13, 2014 Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a dark golden-amber color with a small foamy white head that faded quickly but left good lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy table sugar, apricot and pear. The flavor was sweet and tangy table sugar, apricot, pear, bread, yeast and had a pleasant boozy presence that really worked well. Long tangy finish of golden fruits, table sugar, yeast and booze. Full bodied. Very respectable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle date: unknown
A: Pours out a hazy golden-on-copper ale. A transient loosely packed bone white head falls to a see thru, broken sheet of the same. Unimpressive. No lacing.
S: Citrus, pine and earthy hops. WTF?! The grain comes through midway and the yeast only whispers in the background. This smells more like a belgian IPA. Hmmm..
T: Up front, the hops add a bitterness which weaves into sweet bready characters from the hops. The yeast is finally a followup to the beer and provides a good earthy flavor. Much to my surprise I like this. I wouldn’t call it true to the style, but not bad at all. Some hints of corn in there. The alcohol is surprisingly evident. There are some metallic tones on the finish as well.
M: Medium to full bodied with typical spritely carb. Finish is relatively dry for the style. Feels just barely creamy in the tongue.
O: Not my favorite Tripel, and IMO, not much of a triple. Much to their efforts, however, this is not a bad beer in any way. It in fact is pleasant. Would enjoy again - wish I new the bottle date.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Total Wine in Jensen Beach - cellared for 9 months through the SL season. "Best by" date of 12-12-13, so had to, plus with #925 being a semi-landmark. Pours a clear golden yellow with a white head leaving some streaky lace. Aroma has multiple fruit layers, led by pineapple, citrus fruits and some stone fruits. Also some pine and some spicy yeast. Taste is of sweet fruits and malts, light pineapple, lemon zest and tangy spices. Nice and somewhat subtle. Light bodied with spice. Finishes long, and sweet with a tang. Interesting. This was to be drank on Spit Cup playoffs night, and the Flying Fish did superbly well without it - but this is lifted in Asbury Park’s & CCK’s honor; terrific job!
