Pours golden and clear. A bit of rye and sweetness in the nose. Very crisp, yet full bodied. Not too strong of a rye flavor. Similar to a light rye beer mixed with a Belgian blonde. Really yummy and very drinkable. A bit dry on the finish with with some rye flavor.

Really really good belgian. Tastes like a combo of saison and a tripel...gold hazy color with white foamy head. LOTS of lacing. Taste is sweet, complex and malts, with some grass and a quick clean finish. Really good, highly recommended. Yeast was used well to make a great flavor and an easy to drink beer with lots to it.

Straw gold with off white head and lace. Coriander, bread, wheat, and musty aroma. Sweet malt, clove, and wheat flavor with a mild bitter. Just a touch thin.

Hazy golden coloured body with a largeish, fast-dying white head. Tons of bubbles rise from the bottom and sides nicely. Aroma of pungent wheat, rye, yeast, alcohol and quite a bit of light spices - nice! Medium-bodied; Very effervescent feel. Mild yeastie and wheatie flavour like a belgie trip, with a curacao and coriander seed freshness after a second or two. Aftertaste shows some lingering honey, yeast, spices and a hint of rye dryness, but fairly sweet and pleasant. Overall, a very nice beer, organized well into this style of beer. I’d recommend this to others if you can find it, and I do really like this series of beers - even though they are mostly in 75 cL bottles! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Liquor Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 10-October-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 11-November-2010.

On tap @ Lure’s, Crownsville Md-Cloudy golden pour w/a moderate white head. Spiced citrus aroma. Pretty basic Belgian, some sweetness, some bread dough, but really too hoppy to be a good Belgian. Had some carbonation to it. Very muddled brew, not a good example of this style.

Sampled at GABF 2010. Golden pour with white head. Estery, yeasty aroma with a bit a mild pepper, some sweetness. I get some rye and spice, a lot of sweetness in the flavor. Pretty well carbonated. It’s alright. A bit too sweet. Hey, my first beer from New Jersey. It’s about what I expected.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750ml bottle pours a translucent, hazy, orange with a thin, creamy white head. Nose is nice, spicy, both in terms of the yeast esters and the malts used, sweet, sugary, a little tropical fruit. Flavor is nice, the rye comes through in a chewy malt character, Belgian candy sugar is also there, a little herbal, some light clove. Medium bodied with some lasting sweetness. I thought the rye separated this from a lot of other Belgian ales.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Pours a clear bright golden with a well-lacing froth of white head. Has a sweet light caramel and butterscotch nose with some floral lavender and orange zest. Starts with good fullness and nice light malty sweetness with a zesty rye flavor and some light fruity esters. Finishes lightly sweet with some doughy Belgian yeast. An enjoyable and unique Belgian rye ale.
