COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An original American pale ale, our XPA highlights the subtle, sophisticated flavors and aromas of our Midwestern two-row malt and imported aromatic and Munich malts. Washington-grown Mt. Hood and Fuggles hops create an extremely balanced beer with a beautiful straw color.

Bottle into a ale glass. Pour is a light yellow with next to no head at rest. Aroma is sweet hay but very low. Taste is more pilsner than pale ale. Finish is a light hop wash. This is a good summertime beer, outside sunshine and a grill.

Drought. Rich yellow with whitish small foamy head, doughy aroma, low carbonation, slightly bitter taste with hoppy flavor, abrupt finish. Not very remarkable.

I’m not sure why this has such poor ratings. I thought it was a better than average pale ale with a good floral aroma, some spicy sweet hops bite and a medium body.

DATE TASTED: May 4, 2014... GLASSWARE: Howard’s Pub pint... OCCASION: toilet--replaced; lawn--cut; bathroom--painted = beer time!... APPEARANCE: creamy white head that attractively flairs; dark golden straw-colored, evenly effervescent body; drains evenly... AROMA: vibrant citric (mostly orange with some melon and pear as well) and floral notes with some light caramel malts--accessible and intriguing... PALATE: soft, lagerish body,, equally creamy and thinly taut--sessionable and perfectly at home...TASTE: Flying Fish continues to leave me a happy consumer, as this pale ale a strong profile fits within the genre well and yet is memorable enough to e sought again--maybe not at the bottle shop, but in a restaurant or bar...

Really wanted to like this, but it’s weak, sour, and off-putting. Just nothing to write home about.

very basic lightly coloured beer, no aroma to praise of. Lighter mouthfeel, minimal hop taste and modest drinkability.

Tap: Clear gold color with a white head and some ring lacing. Lemony aroma with a mostly grainy malt taste. Watery feel. Waste of my money and a lame excuse for a pale ale.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear golden with a nice white head, leaving lots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is pretty light floral hops and grain. Taste is a bit to watery for my taste, a combination of malts and citrus notes. OK Beer.

Perfect appearance. Excellent lacing and a perfect clear brew. Taste is sweet with a minimally hoppy finish. This has a nice palate with a great floral finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It's a nice emphasis on the pale. It's mild and smooth with very little bitterness nor bite. Got a nice malt taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pours pale gold with white head. Tangerine, pine, straw, floral. Lightly bitter and sweet. Medium body, light carbonation.
