2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Flying Fish Farmhouse Summer Ale is ok but nothing to rave about. Slight lemony aroma coming from a bright yellow pour. Head fizzes a bit on the pour but quickly dissipates to nothing. Taste is a little funky and somewhat lemony making it refreshing but kind of thin. Farmhouse Summer Ale seems to have some execution problems -- could definitely be better.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Undated 12oz bottle; sample courtesy of Perry County Beer. Pours yellow gold, very small head that dissipates into a ring. Tulip glass gives an earthy, grassy, lightly spiced, Belgium-y aroma. The body is light and refreshing. The bitter chewy wheat fore-taste quickly balances with obviously dry Belgium yeast aftertaste. The taste is certainly muted for it’s 4.6abv, but that’s the charm to this very drinkable summery outdoorsy light farmhouse ale.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours pale yellow with a one finger white head with pretty nice lacing. Aroma is of cercel malts, grassy hops, sweet malts, pils malts, and some fruits. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium light body with a semi watery mouthfeel and a mostly sweet, medium-short finish. Overall, a decent blonde ale that would be nice on a hot summer day.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
"Light cereal and flowery hops are the main players with an ever so slight bit of funk tartness and Belgian spice thrown in the mix. Some fruity pear and dust as well. meh. Lighter than I prefer, but it is a summer seasonal after all."

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a very pale, clear light yellow. Earthy aroma. Earthy malt flavor that ends a little bitter, like dirt. Interesting, light summer beer, but I won’t be drinking this again.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very clear and light color to go with the weak taste. Where is the wheat? No typical spice, light taste, and no cloudiness. That extra pale malt makes it an extra pale ale. Only the hops seems to have save the aroma and at least a little bittering. But that doesn’t go with the style at all. Not a complete waste, just a very confused brew.
