COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For the first new beer to come out of the new brewery, we wanted to do something Jersey-centric. After the events of the superstorm we thought what better to help our state than to come up with a tasty brew with Jersey attitude and donate all proceeds (not just profit, but every darn cent) to grass-roots organizations helping rebuild in New Jersey. Hence the name Forever Unloved Sandy, which I think we all would prefer to abbreviate. For now, the beer will be draft-only, but we’ll see what happens. We’ll produce approximately 100 kegs of FU Sandy, sales of which will generate up to $50,000 directly towards a charity. The recipient of the F. U. Sandy funds will be a grassroots NJ-based charitable organization dedicated to Superstorm Sandy relief and chosen by Flying Fish fans via social media. To nominate a charity, email us. NOTE: This not a popularity contest, so one thoughtful email will be as effective as having everyone you know on Facebook email us. Thanks! The beer will be available beginning in February, exclusively on draft (no bottles at this point), throughout the New Jersey and Philadelphia region. F. U. Sandy is brewed with a 50/50 blend of Two Row Pale Malt and American White Wheat. It is hopped with experimental hop ADHA 483, donated by the American Dwarf Hop Association, which has never been used in a beer before this one. Muller and Head Brewer Casey Hughes expect a beautiful, tropical nose of mangoes and guavas that will accentuate the beer’s soft mouthfeel and contribute to a truly one-of-a-kind ale.

Pours a clear yellow. Has a floral hop aroma. Has a citrus and floral hops taste with some malts. Hops and malts linger with a light bitter aftertaste.

Thanks cfrancis for sharing this. Hazy light copper with a slightly off white head. Malt forward, fruity, wheat, light citrus, grassy. Out of place sweetness, moderate carbonation and mild+ body, interesting combination but not sure it works for me.

Boutip (4637) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 28, 2014
Bottle: Poured a dirty golden color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of nice wheat malt with some grassy hops notes and some light bubble-gum notes. Taste is dominated by really nice wheat malt with some light grassy hoppy notes with some light bubble-gum notes. Body is quite full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Very enjoyable wheat ale – brewer should not keep this one as a one-off.

750 red pseudo-waxed plastic shiiterpricker cap. Pours hazy golden with 1-finger fluffy white head. Nose is wheaty malt, tropical fruit, peppery hops. Tastes wheaty, hoppy, citric, with mango and guava flavors, black pepper, and a complex and hefty for a wheat beer palate density. This one surprised me, and was delicious.

Pours a nice golden color with a couple fingers of sticky white foam. The nose has some fruity summer wheat upfront, melon rind, a trace of grass. The palate is more of the same although I feel this bottle may suffer from being a bit past its prime and tired. The flavors are still pleasant just a bit muted wheat, apple, rustic fieldgrass, a touch watery but well constructed.

750ml bottle pours a clear gold with some frothy, white head. Nose is bright orange juice, a little malt, scallion, mostly orange juice. Flavor is grassier, some pine, grapefruit zest, orange juice. Zesty, refreshing finish.
